Currently imagining the sort of also-rans that counties might have to pick if a full replacement squad had to be called up by a Hundred team

"The toss does not have to take place in the middle"
But why :lol

Slow over rate will cause you to field with one more guy inside the 30 yard circle, which will cause more boundaries to be hit, which will then decrease the over rate further. WTF.

If the aim is to make games finish within a time window I don't actually mind this as an experiment. Penalty runs don't work, fines don't work. Points deductions might work more effectively in league formats. How matches drag on really annoys me. I did notice in some of the women's matches the umpire's weren't standing for the constant on and off of substitute fielders bringing on drinks.

Also rans like Darren Stevens.

Thanks to Cricket 19, I am now interested in this format.

They're showing 18 matches, I think Sky are showing the lot, with the women's games on YouTube too.
Oh, so my theory of them inventing the format to get around their exclusive contract with Sky was complete bullshit then :rolleyes
Now I really don’t get why they came up with it :lol

I thought the same. Apparently, the BBC agreed to show a T20 tournament.

I might be mistaken, but I'm fairly sure the adverts I've seen they don't even use the word 'cricket'. It doesn't seem like just a new format but a complete rebranding of a sport.

I think I've said this before, but I'm always reminded of this from Mad Men.

Absolutely gutted for Sandeep. Just read the article and seems like clear miscommunication. I wish he gets to participate. Cannot wait for this to start, pretty excited as tactically this will be different.
