Club president Massimo Morrati was in luck ....Jose Mourinho had signed to coach Inter Milan .... The Italian champions were in desperate need of the champions league and had not had a good run in the competition for the past years....that lead to the sacking of Roberto Mancini ... They had won the league but the chairman wanted the champions league ...
Teams in england were getting even more rich with foreign investors investing money there. . more and more player were getting attracted to the english league ...!
would the inclusion of Mourinho bring any luck to the Nerazzurri??????

Mourinho was given a transfer kitty of 19 million pounds..there was no new signing ...with rivals AC milan getting a whole lot of new players ...Mourinho knew that he had a battle in his hands....Juventus back in the league also provided one more rivalry...with fiorentina and palermo and lazio becoming title contenders.. it was anyone s game
Fiorentina had signed Andrey Arshavin from zenit St.Petersburg .....it was the only big transfer in the italian league..where as people were jst spending their money like crazy in the english league!!!

The Inter Milan Team for the 2009 Season : Jose Mourinho s interview in the local newspaper suggested that he was very confident when the league kicked off this sunday ..for he had changed the entire inter milan team s thinking ....After reaching two european semi finals and losing out to barcelona and Manchester united he was sure that this will surely be the season when his team wins the league ..he had arguebly the best team in europe ..!! Ibrahimovic had won the world footballer of the year the last year and Mourinho was going to make sure that he keeps his form up ...AC MILAN had won the title last season on the last day from a Ronaldinho freekick against Napoli which broke Inter hearts !!!!!
But Jose had some great plans in store for the team !!!

Nicolas Burdisso ( the 26 year old Argentine made a public comment that he was unhappy and had lost motivation to play for Inter..He was sold off to Chelsea for a 20 million pound sun

Van Der Vaart ( he was signed in the second season but made his way on the bench ...now with manchester united)
Julio Cruz - ( 35 now and retired )
Muntari - with so many new and talented players coming in he was left out ..Moved to Lazio
Bolatelli - 26 million pound move to Man City
Jimenez - 30 million pound move to Zaragoza ..he single handedly won me the title in the first season ...young and one of my fav players..but was unsettled in the season ....i thought no one would give me such a price for this player but Zaragoza out of nowhere gave me an incredible offer
