Dirk Kuyt scored the opener for Liverpool​

Liverpool produced a good display this evening to see off the challenge of the Ukranian side Vorskla Poltava at Anfield.

An error from Maxym Gryshko allowed striker Dirk Kuyt to score a powerful effor. Vorskla's equaliser came through Andriy Tkachuk as he seized on Martin Skrtel's mistake to score a penalty.

Fernando Torres put the home in front in the 70th minute with a good header just inside the six-yard bos. Winger Maxi Rodriguez completed the scoring for Liverpool with a placed shot on 78 minutes.
