Draft: The One Team Draft - Round Seven Starts!

Seems like we've hit the maximum interest level. I'll post the draft order shortly and we can begin.

A few general tips before we begin...

  • As described in the last page, your current pick will apply the ineligibility criteria to only your future picks and not others' picks.

  • You can pick DJ Bravo (or any globetrotting T20 freelancer) but remember that you'll rule yourself out from picking half of the cricketing world in the next round if so. Some of the best T20 players may not be the smartest picks early on until you've got a fairly settled side or you'll have to plan around that carefully if you intend to pick such players.

  • Since you're practically only allowed one international player per country it'd be smart play to make that one count by either having that player be a T20 great or someone who offers you flexibility in a utility/niche role or doesn't rule out too many teams for the future.

  • You could theoretically pick twelve international players from the twelve test playing nations and call it a day. However you'd be doing yourselves a disservice by not tapping into the vast associate player pool, some of whom have been egregiously ignored by T20 leagues till date.

  • Do note that if you pick a player who is ineligible the next person in line can make their pick and the draft will progress so be wary of doing so. I'd recommend checking CricketArchive to check if your player has played any FC, List A or T20 match for an ineligible team. AFAIK most U19 or age group matches don't count towards it while certain warm-ups do and certain ones don't. Best bet would be to check out for yourselves. If you've got doubts over the eligibility of a player do feel free to PM me and confirm if that's the case. For example, Warwickshire's T20 team is currently called Birmingham Bears but they're not classified as a separate side by CricketArchive in contrast to the same IPL teams with different names in different years being divided and so I'll stick to their interpretation to avoid confusion.

  • With all of that said, good luck and have fun drafting! Would love to see some classical write-ups if possible from you guys. :)

Arguably the greatest T20 player ever, why wouldn’t you take him

No question over his abilities but he has played absolutely everywhere (EDIT - sixteen teams apparently). I suspect you have a few targets for the future in mind though... :spy
