I heard that the Pakistani team is not coming home after the WC.
It seems half the team is going to England whereas the rest will go to UAE.
Thats what Kapil Dev was saying on Times Now.

lol, well that would be the best way for Pakistan to start over wouldnt it. i dont kno what kinda coach he would be but i would love to see Imran khan somewhere in the PCB, i kno he does alot of other thing and maybe doesnt have the time but a position would be great.

well 1 thing they must do is use a home grown coach with a brain

sure foreign coaches are better but it doesnt matter if the players cant understand a word hes saying does it?

Sahil, there is nothing wrong with using foreign coaches, as long as you let them do what they want. In fact, I prefer foreign coaches. They bring in a different perspective.

Have to agree here. As much as we bang on about him being finished now, Duncan Fletcher turned English cricket round since he took over in 1999. I can't think of any English replacements that are available and/or good enough to take over at the moment.

In international football I want managers to be the same nationality as the team but as far as cricket goes, then foreigners are fine by me.

He didn't want to have Imran Nazir on the squad, and prefered Yasir Hameed, so he had little choice in selection.

By the way Imran Khan has been talking on the shows with Inzi, we should really make him captain. He has a cricketing brain and he knows a lot more about the domestic level of cricket than any foreign coach would.

Why can't we have a non-playing captain as in tennis for cricket also ?

That way ppl like Gavaskar will be damn effective in team decisions and sledging adn stuff :p

Espn did show some footage from the Pakistani camp.
It was like Inzi's decision to play Rana in the first match.Bob Woolmer was also not on good terms with Inzi.Infact, the things worsened so much that Younis attended a team meeting instead of Inzi before the West Indies match.

Just another question :
Why do the Pakis want Naseem Ashraf to be arrested ? And why should he resign ?

Well we need a coach whos confident and gets his messages across to the players... Imran Khan like... but he wont be doin it he's interested in politics more...

Foreign coach aint a good idea... Like nearly all of the team including the captain dont know much english so how the hell will the coach get his message fully across... i hope you know what i mean...

Anwar Ali + Jamshed give them another year 2 perform in Domestic and then get them in although fast bowling isnt an issue here infact we got so many its hard to choose...

Asif is must... AKhtar when fit and then you get Gul,Sami,Anjum waiting too...

We need to get a pair in opening and stick with them... Get Butt back in he's still young and has performed under great pressure and this isnt how it works that if he doesnt perform in one tour you kick him out... how are they suppose to learn... so stick with i say Butt and a right hander.... maybe Nazir or Hameed dunoo...

Pakistan's always struck me a cricketing country that doesn't know how to handle its resources. There are so many talented cricketers in Pakistani cricket but their careers last like 2-3 series and then they disappear into the gloom. Let them get a chance to prove their stuff!

I dont think you can blame Woolmer for selection. How much say does he have over selection ?
One positive influence is Pakistan's fielding. I dont follow pakistan that closely, but it seems to have improved.
A Coach can do only so much. The players have to go out there and perform.

Salman butt and Shoaib Malik to open I say, we need the left and right combo back, causes more problems for the bowler to vary his line and length, and the constant fielding changes.

Imran nazir plays too eractic, trying to hit a 4/6 of every ball and then getting frustrated and throwing away his wicket, we need someone to play sensible cricket and build the base, Pakistan are forgetting the basics, which the minnows are adopting very well, which is why they're playing better cricket compared to some of the bigger teams.

too correct.... Butt should be in alongside a right hander... who's like got the basics right for the opener which is to survive the 10 overs at the start and build a platform... i am not too sure about malik handling the new ball
