The Pakistan Situation

Giving Butt and Farhat more than one solitary game at a time together would certainly help.

anyways i think Butt and Farhat combination will go really well...Akmal for me can't manage the new ball and Afridi...well we all know about Afridi ;) Malik performs better down the order...maybe he can cover up for inzi now and asif kamal should be brought in as well...Hafeez should be given a long rest for now...

i would have this team for our next odi series

butt
yasir hameed
younis
yousuf
malik
razzaq
afridi
akmal
shoaib
asif
gul/sami

i would not bring imran nazir back again, and keep hafeez in reserves if we have a spare middle order place

well younis for me doesnt really deserve much of a place in ODI's he's never consistent... Hameed isnt a good idea he has a major weakness in his cover drive against new ball and always gets out...

well younis is one of the 2 remaining classy batsmen we have left so you know...also i think asif kamal should be given a chance in the ODIs...

i would personally play younis at 5 and malik at 3 though,
we have enough big hitters down the order in afridi, razzaq and akmal so we need 1 batsman who takes singles too in younis.
malik is a much better number 3

here are their stats
Mat I NO Runs HS1 HS2 HS3 Ave 100 50 0
Malik:
3rd position 31 31 1 1216 143 118 95 40.53 2 9 1
4th position 11 11 2 539 111* 108 80 59.88 2 3 0

Younis:
3rd position 45 45 3 1081 101 93 73 25.73 1 8 4
4th position 15 15 1 565 144 87* 70 40.35 1 2 1

Just to tell you guys on some good players which i see growing in Pakistan Cricket. Would like to see these guys being trained and picked for the National Squad.

First off let's start off with what the best ranking batsmen according to PCB is at the moment. Here's Fawad Alam:

Ranks 7th and has a wonderful career. This left-arm middle order youngster can also bowl a bit, but he is handy at the number 5 position.

Next is Salman Butt. We all know what this lad can do. He has stepped it up recently in Domestic cricket aswell.

Salman Butt comes in at number 9 in Pakistan. A different batsman, that has good technique and is very young.

Next we go to all-rounder, Mansoor Amjad.

He played cricket for Leics, and is an identical copy of Mushtaq Ahmed. His batting has been good, but not great. After all he is a bowler.

Next is Najaf Shah, who is a left arm pacer, and he has shined in First clas cricket with many wickets. Here is his first class record:

Next on the list is none other than Jamshed Ahmed.

Left arm seamer that has a lot of pace (bowls 82-86mph) and has the identical hair, appeal, action, and celebration that Wasim Akram had. It's like their related.

Last up is Anwar Ali.

Played some cricket with Karachi in the 20/20 tournament a few months ago, he averaged 28.85 and picked up 7 wickets. His amazing banana swingers troubled tons of batsmen.

I'll be keeping up with these lads. If you find anymore players that are preforming in the Domestic side, post them here and follow them through out the next domestic season.

Who'll be the next Pakistani captain ?
Will they stick with Younis or go in for a younger person ?

I think the captaincy should be given to someone younger like Malik who can lead Pakistan out of it's mess and into a new era
