1st Test- Day 2 @ The Gabba- 1st November 2009

Australia lose the toss and India decides to bat

Day 2- Morning Session

11:00 am- Here come the players for the 2nd day of the 1st Test, here at the Gabba between the Aussies and the Indians. AshesXII (104*) and rahuldravidfan (83*) are at the crease, and 20/20 PRO and BKB1991 will open the bowling for the Aussies.


11:03 am: 20/20 PRO to AshesXII....its an edge, shouts of Catch-it!.....and its put down!! Oh dear, mattfb has dropped a sitter, oh what a chance! Could`ve been a breakthrough, as 20/20 PRO walks back to his mark angrily. AshesXII has been given a second life here.


11:14 am: BKB1991 to AshesXII....its and edge to Madhur and that is gone!! He hasnt looked too good with the bat today, despite a century, but well played! Thats BKB1991`s 2nd wicket as AshesXII departs for a well made 107. In comes Aouni, he`ll look to play himself in here.

11:23 am: 20/20 PRO to rahuldravidfan...oh what a shot, through the covers and thats four! That brings him to 97*, 3 runs off his century, can he do it!?


11:26 am: 20/20 PRO to rahuldravidfan, its short and its pulled for four!! Thats his century! The second century of the match, what a day for rahuldravidfan! He raises his bat with a huge grin on his face, well done!


11:27 am: Looks like thats it for BKB1991`s spell, he`s bowled 25 overs for 2-51. Looks like the spinner, hedger_14 will come in to the attack.


11:38 am: Thats it for 20/20 PRO`s spell, which consisted of 28 overs for 2-69, and in comes the Queenslander, Biggy.


11:52 am: Hedger_14 to rahuldravidfan, its swept for four! What a shot, he`s really on song here! That shot brings him to 111* off 190 balls, whilst his partner Aouni is on 10* off 26 balls.



11:56 am: Biggy to rahuldravidfan, he tries to go with the late cut, barely gets it and sets off for a run..Aouni is hesistant but runs anyway, cricket22 gathers it and throws at the stumps....HE HITS IT! The Aussies appeal........THATS OUT! No need for the 3rd umpire, Aouni departs for 11 due to poor judgement by rahuldravidfan. In comes rahulkhush, he`ll need to make a big score to put India over 400 here.

12:11 pm: Biggy to rahuldravidfan...and thats four! That`s rahuldravidfan`s 19th boundary here, he`s looking fearsome in the crease, and is putting India back on track. He`s on a incredible 134*, what an innings.


12:25 pm: Biggy to rahulkhush...thats edged for four! Biggy`s not impressed, no such luck at all for him in this match. That shot brings rahulkhush to 13* off 21 balls.


12:36 pm: Thats it for Biggy`s spell, he hasnt picked up a wicket and his figures are 33 overs for 0-100. Looks like the part-timer, cricket22 will replace him.



1:30 pm: Thats lunch, with rahuldravidfan on 143*(247) and rahulkhush on 39* (56), India are 376-5, and will hope to get 450 or so before the evening session.
