The Reintegration Thread

Yeah that's something that I agree with. Cricket isn't football. The captain leads the team, not the manager.

Except clearly Moores, Flower and the ECB don't see things that way.

I remember captaining a team in an u.15 school game where the master in charge declared without consulting me and I gave him an earful about it.

It's not really news that KP might be a ****** in the dressing room. And he might easily have been the real villain in the story but for the exposure of the sheer scale of the ECB's authoritarian dickery.

Crowe suggests KP started it though, presumably by trying to leverage his power as captain to remove Moores and Flower?

KP is going to announce his retirement its good for him and also creates chance for young talents in england

I can think of a few retirements that would benefit young talents in England considerably more.

KP is going to be missed, totally mishandled by the ECB and his own captain, vice captain. Now it's time for the middle order to step up and be counted, so far against Sri Lanka I've seen little promise.

SO finally a chance to be back ? KP supporters hope AFG knocks you out
Kevin Pietersen could make England return, says ECB chairman - Telegraph

How does that show he has any more chance than currently...? Graves agreed with the decision to get rid of him and stated the decision is completely down to the selectors and Moores, who clearly aren't going to change their viewpoint now. I highly doubt he'll play county cricket again either.

He's clearly caused issues nearly everywhere he's been in England whether it be at counties or with the national team so I think it's finally time people get over the fact that he's not playing again.

What colin graves has said is more than anything others have offered to KP from downtown, moores, whitaker, or clarke, he hasnt slammed the door shut for KP like others,
no one would have had a prob if KP was dropped, but he is BANNED without breaking any official rule!
AND Colin has just said that, if you perform well you have a chance to be back more than anything others will offer especially after the book!
right now the statement feels like KP from BANNED to KP Dropped which is a huge difference imho

Also on kp having issues everywhere its not true, he has had some really good relations too whether it was under vaughan or ford or fletcher or even in IPL,

whether KP will actually make use of it is another question ? this is not me feeling pity with KP, he has clearly has ego as well as millions in bank account, there is no sob story for him, I hope this is considered a big deal not for KP but the kind of system thats in place, if someone with a huge stardom like KP can be banned can you imagine the kind of things that can be done at lower levels, and ECB is often the starting point for these kind of things that then spread to ind and aus as they often follow in their footsteps.

Hence why I said issues in England.

Nottinghamshire? Kit bag chucked off the balcony...
Hampshire? Not picked for T20 finals day and practically kicked/sulked out the club after not being selected.
England? Well we all know how that ended in addition to the South Africa texting part.
Surrey? They seem to be in no desperate hurry to re-sign him.

I hope he does play county cricket this coming season (come play for Kent! :p) But he'll miss a chunk of it due to the IPL. If KP is serious about returning he needs to be playing 4 day cricket and not just the t20 blast.
