The Reintegration Thread

England in New Zealand 2012-13 : England omit Kevin Pietersen for New Zealand series | Cricket News | Global | ESPN Cricinfo

Not trying to deliberate on this issue, but this decision from the ecb pretty much proves KP's initial reasoning for wanting to retire from odi's, skip a few series was right.

Just what i thought, i mean how on earth does KP need a rest?

He has hardly played in the past 6 months, and to get him firing he needs as much time in the middle as possible

The Ashes 2013-14 : Kevin Pietersen future under scrutiny | Cricket News | Australia v England | ESPN Cricinfo

Time to dig this thread because there is big talk now in the last few days on BBC & skysports that KP could be made a scapegoat & be dropped after the Ashes.

Added to this its being revealed that since his "reintegration" ENG & Flower have kept him away from the team think tank & Flower is rumored to even be saying he would resign if KP was to get leadership responsibility in any post Ashes strategies.

This is total crap & one of the reasons why Flower has to go.

I'm beginning to think Vaughn is a bit of an idiot.

Such a shame as he brought the first ashes victory of my lifetime and I loved him for it, but I had to unfollow him on twitter.

I know he's craving celebrity to an extent, so i'm not sure how many of the things he says is just aiming for controversy and how many he genuinely believes.

I was excited about what he could bring to punditry, but quite frankly I'm incredibly disappointed.

Typical... The_Gas returns and he's here to sell something, knew there would be an alterior motive :p

I reckon Gas and Nixon have been secretly married for the last few years.

 :D

Incidentally i found Mr Nixon on twitter but decided not to contact him. I'll never forget that dashing picture of him on that boat. So much man, much sex appeal.

England Cricket News: 'Unanimous feeling' against Kevin Pietersen - Paul Downton | ESPN Cricinfo
All blame is being shifted on KP and Carberry, their 2 best batsmen in the Ashes, and no one focuses on their captain "marvelous" Cook. Cook was shite that series, but no one focuses on that. I feel the whole mess was caused by Cook, Flower and the management.
Paul Downton said:
We never really replaced Strauss
This is BS, really. Compton is a better batsman than Strauss and he will only continue to grow, yet he is being ignored.

----------

Why Onions is never picked is beyond me. He should be the 3rd seamer for England, considering his performances in the past 2 or 3 seasons. And his is batting is not Panesar-esque, either.

In the last 2 or 3 years of Andrew's career, he was kept only for his leadership abilities and not for his batting. Other than 2 centuries against a mediocre West Indies, he was pretty poor.

WTF are you talking about? Strauss was shite as a captain and Cook is even worse then him.
