The Simpsons Mafia - Game Over : TOWN WIN > Player Reviews

Excellent result for us, getting rid of a mafia!

That was a confusing writeup! Couldn't understand half the things, especially the part with the fat people. MaD, is it possible to use different colours for the dialogues from different people? I can't even understand who said hi to whom. :p

There was probably a bus driver who swapped roles of the fat man, and the one in the white shirt.

The talented little girl was at it again tonight, she knew someone was doing something, whether evil or good, something was goin down! As she followed her ?squealing? target, she noticed that he had something in his hand, a little veil. He walked towards a flower pot, emptied the whole bottle onto the flower, and slid the flower into his pocket.

He walked around searching and searching, until he found him, however it seemed as though he?d changed into a white shirt, and lost some weight. He continued to do his job, and protected the man for the rest of the night.
?Ooh a flower, and what a wonderful smell it has!?

He was the Don?s number 1 fat man, and tonight he had a mission. As he walked across the hallways, towards the bedroom, where he?d been told his target would be found, he saw a man in a white cloak, with a flower coming out of his pocket-
?Hi Fatty!?
?Uh.. hi sir, what are you doing out here??
?Why do you ask??
?Um, I just want to know?
?Are you here to attack someone!?
?No. May I know who is behind this door??
?A fat man!?
?Like me??
?Fatter!?
?Okay then, I will leave now?
?Bye fatty!?

I want someone to answer this question of mine.
I have bolded the parts. The man in the first paragraph does not seem to the same man indicated in the next paragraphs (a man with flower with him)
So does that mean a switch took place between these two?

Or am I wrong?

Nice to have a mafia gone. The things which I can think of from the write up -

Gobbling away on his doughnut as he walked towards his target, the fatty noticed a little poison veil on the ground, moving his doughnut to his left hand, he reached for the veil with his right and moved it closer towards his eyes-
“Looks like someone’s been doing something evil, i’ll have to find out whom”
He regained sight of his doughnut and decided to take another bite, unable to reach the doughnut; he was forced to drop the veil, the glass shattered on the ground.
“Hang on, who was my target again? Aw screw it, tonight, it’ll just be me ‘n’ my doughnut!”

Reading the above part, I feel the cop was role blocked. He couldn't find his target. Mafia role blocker there maybe.

He was an extremely renowned doctor, known for his amazing feats and he decided to use his skills for best, to help his town. Tonight he had a target in mind; someone who he believed was helpful, he decided to guard the fatty with all his skills. He had kept his eyes on his target, and knew where he was tonight. As he followed his target, he tripped over cracked glass, he knew he had no time to play detective right now, so he got up, however he couldn’t find sight of the fat man in blue. He walked around searching and searching, until he found him, however it seemed as though he’d changed into a white shirt, and lost some weight. He continued to do his job, and protected the man for the rest of the night.
“Ooh a flower, and what a wonderful smell it has!”

Here, I think a doctor was protecting the cop (fat man in blue). But, maybe cop was role blocked and also someone swapping things means doc protected someone else. I'm kinda confused here as the writing below says doc actually protected the cop? Or maybe the person who was swapped? If this is the case, it means mafia attacked the cop but because of swapping they had another target. Makes sense?

“A fat man!”
“Like me?”
“Fatter!”
“Okay then, I will leave now”
“Bye fatty!”

He walked off, not understanding what was going on, he’d seen the man inside, but he wasn’t fatter than him himself, so why did the man outside say he was? Someone was doing something, someone was confusing these people! Someone was swapping things around!

Who is this one who is swapping things around?

He wasn’t expensive, much cheaper than the other guy, but some doubted his abilities, however he served the Simpsons family just fine. He’d decided to use his abilities to help an individual every night and tonight it was one of his bestest bud! He stayed with the little one for the whole night, and she was unharmed.

I think this indicates an insane doc maybe? His protection was successful or maybe the little girl wasn't attacked. Who could be the little girl though?

He was still on the search for his target, still looking, attempting to identify where he’d left him, but there was no luck, his target wasn’t who he was looking for, another failed night. But he wasn’t going to let it go like this! As he walked around, he noticed another man, hiding in the shadows-
“Who’s there?”
The man began running, and the old man followed, he still had the skills, even if his body was deteriorating! The chase was on, but before it had just begun, he pulled out his silenced CZ75 pistol and shot the runner! The man’s last words were-
“It’s you! I’m sorry!”
“CG123?”

Old man killing the mafia. This means he is individual aligned maybe? The fact that he's searching for someone...

The guy in the first and the last para seem to be the same because of the reference to the flower in the pocket.

The one in the middle might be different, but mentioning the flower makes it seem peculiar.

I believe the people with the particular roles might have understood, but they shouldn't reveal them directly, to prevent being targets. Probably the discussion today might bring up a few clues.

I think the first one might be a role blocker. And, the second and third one might be the same person, the doc as he came across a cracked glass (which was there as the fat man in blue (cop?) broke it.

Reading the above part, I feel the cop was role blocked. He couldn't find his target. Mafia role blocker there maybe.

True, I feel the same. Or, maybe, as we see later, the cop's role was swapped with someone else, that caused this to happen.

The doc protected the man in the white shirt. I don't really know how the swap thing works, but if the cop was swapped, and he was role-blocked or something, I guess the person he was swapped with will be role-blocked instead.

Who is this one who is swapping things around?
Should not reveal himself. He has one of the strongest roles, and we don't want him to become a sitting duck. He would be the only one who would have understood the entire story correctly, and based on that, he should use his role wisely.

The little girl is the same as the one in the first para, I believe. Having 2 docs doesn't seem too logical in a small game, considering we already know there was another doc as mentioned earlier.
I am interested in the "expensive" and "cheap" references.
Unfortunately I don't have much idea about the Simpsons, and maybe someone could tell us if there is some rich person in the show.

Individual, or more likely, Cult. Searching for someone is mostly a cult thing. An individual wouldn't do so.

Okay this is what i am confused at. Clearly the cop was role-blocked. But then if someone switched him around. Wouldn't the role blocking be targeted to someone else then?
I mean it seem weird to me that if the cop was bus drived. Then all people targetting him should switch their targets to another person.
But here it seems like he was role blocked and then what ever actions that took place later was switched around. =/

Plus if he was switched around, does this mean that the originally with the white shirt is the role blocker? Because the role blocker did have the flower with him in the beginning right?
And then the flower seems to have switched to the cop.

----------

Plus we have two docs it seems. I guess it indicates that we have two killers in this game perhaps to balance it out.

Actually, because of those words I thought he was insane doc. And, also 'Some doubted his abilities' thing.

And, yeah the role block and swap thing seems confusing.

Doc eventually protected the man in white shirt. But, the writing says, he was searching for fat man in blue (cop?). Yes, the second part of yours is right. So, maybe cop was role blocked and perhaps swapped too. But, then again as ARay said all other actions should also be swapped.

Maybe. And, two killers one mafia and other the cult (old man)?

Another insight:

Bus Driver
This player can choose to switch any two players during the night phase by sending the moderator a private message with the names of the two players he wishes to switch. Whatever was originally supposed to happen to one will happen to the other, and if possible the two targets will use their abilities on the others chosen target.

Maybe, the cop was swapped with someone without a role. Now, since the roles were swapped, the cop was left without a role, but had a target, and the the swapped person had a role, but was without a target.

The bus driver role is a bit confusing, and I think in the previous game, the effect was simply, what was going to happen to one, actually happened to the other.

Bus driver, ah? So, cop was swapped with the man in white shirt whom the doc protected. And, mafia couldn't kill the cop because of the swap. Right?

----------

Someone with Simpsons knowledge can decode this, I feel. I mean the white shirt, the blue shirt, and all. :p

Yeah, probably we have spotted out the role. Seems to the bus driver to me too. Was just going through some roles on Wikipedia and a link mentioned by LonLegs and the role of the 'Bus Driver' seems to be the one matching the most.

The Doc would understand better, because one thing's for sure, originally, either he protected the cop, or he protected the person who was swapped. He knows whom he protected, now based on that, and the concept of bus driver, he can deduce who is the cop, and who was other person.

A person with simpsons knowledge is a must at this time because there are a lot of people mentioned, and I don't know who is evil and who is not.

Now, hopefully we can get a healthy discussion started, and not just throw accusations on each other without reasoning.

Time to go off now so I'll post who's on my suspect list. Abhas, first. Mark seemed confident about him but the night 0 writeup about fat man in blue indicated cop might not have got it right or might have. So, can't be sure about Abhas. Therefore, FOS. I believe Mark might not be an evil for that matter as on night 0 only clue given was about cop and going by this writeup, doc intended to protect cop. So, maybe we know who is the cop. Mafia also tried to attack him. Abhas maybe?

Yes. What I observe from the writeup is doc protected the cop first before the roles were swapped. After the swapping, he had to protect a man in a white shirt. Also, mafia were after the cop to kill him but couldn't do so because of swap and protection. Might be the case...

And, I'm suspicious of you Abhas given what Mark posted earlier.
