The Australian, South African and New Zealand Cricket boards have agreed to hold a Tri-series of One Day International Matches

Australia and New Zealand initially came up with the idea as both countries have a 5-7 month break after April and the South African Cricket board happily agreed participating making this a top three southern hemisphere clash

The last time these three teams met in a tri-series was back in the VB series in 2001 which South Africa won

Cool this is gonna be nice. Yeah thanks Drewska!

Definetly gonna be a tough series for the KIWIS really looking forward to it

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has appointed South Africa to Host the Southern Hemisphere Series

However some critics say the Series was set for South Africa anyway as the recent racist chants in Australia will have restrained the ICC from selecting them and very few crowds in New Zealand would not have made any income and profit to the ICC and the series Sponsors

The ICC assures everyone that South Africa was selected as the host because of it beautiful scenery and excellent facility stadiums not because of the factors in Australia and New Zealand

The South African Cricket Board has Selected Cape Town and Johannesburg to Host the Series

Will this be similar to the VB series, with teams playing each other 3 times then with 3 finals?

good to see your back. interesting series. i would have used australia because you have more grounds to play with. we all remember the vb series in 2001 when they played us out of the final with a pathetic display in perth - forcing a points system change.

good luck mate and watch out for virus's

Unlucky with your other thread, it was really class presentation. However this looks to be a new and interesting idea, starting well already. Good luck.
