Asking mods to close a thread is pretty annoying, especially when there's still worthwhile discussion to be had. If you think a thread should be closed, report it.

One direct suggestion:
Keep it a 100 Sec timer (As Sohum Suggested) and ask a question on those rules rather than asking for word verification. If he fails to answer, he should not be able to log in for a week.
And see that people can download stuff of PC without registering to post non sense like "Where are the download links blah blah..".

That would just put people off the forums. And was it Sohum who suggested it? I thought it was someone else but oh well

And regarding Sachin Tendulkar Fans Saga, I'd like to get in the PC Ashes, which was no way related to other people except Aussies and Poms. Was that required even after knowing the fact that Aussies and Poms are just a PART of PC and there are loads of people who don't come under that category? Isn't it biased just for Aussies and Poms? Answer this, before you raise your voice on Sachin Tendulkar Fans saga!

And don't say that "It was PCCL section, which is completely neglected" and all that cause that's all non sense. That was for enjoyment, and even this is for enjoyment. No one questioned about that, but I don't know why these people are questioning about this silly issue.

Even I feel that Tendulkar is bit more publicized on PC, but I don't think that all this crap is required for threads on Sachin Tendulkar.

It's not biased, it's because the Ashes are an iconic, historical series between the two nations who founded Cricket in the first place. It's the oldest, biggest, most intense rivalry in Cricket, and one of the oldest rivalries in any sport.

You've got to grow up and stop living with the mentality that not including India in every thing is biased and that any attack on anything remotely related to India is not racism. The world does not and cannot revolve around India. You cannot always be the centre of attention

As said earlier, tomorrow (Sunday) the admins and global mods (including myself), are having a meeting on this and other issues that have come up recently. At the very least it will stay open until then, as all the ideas will be discussed. Hopefully over the next week there will be a clear path forward for the site.

So I'd suggest that if anyone has an opinion on this or other issues right now, that they post. Don't be worried of what others think of your suggestions, in most cases it is better that it is said.

I din't say that all that racism thingy and even I din't ask the total world to rotate around India. And TBH, I don't mind if PC Ashes go on or not. I was pointing that there were some events at PC, which were held only for "Some people" cause some of those "Some people" are saying that SC people are ruling forum with useless Sachin Tendulkar threads and rules are biased for SC people.
