TT Lions 190-2
A brilliant performance from TT Lions allrounder Ryan Crouch saw the visitors trump home favourites Old Wulfs by 8 wickets here at Old Wulfs CG. Ryan Couch took 4/33 in 8.4 overs as Old Wulfs lost their last 7 wickets for 12 runs in 5 overs in a mammoth collapse to end up with 189 on the board. He then stroked an unbeaten 59 off 73 balls with 5 boundries and two big ones to guide the team home with just over 10 overs to spare. Other top performers were Runako Atkinson who picked up 3/46 off 9 overs, and Mohammed Delop who carved a cool and unbeaten 79 off 119 deliveries, with only 5 fours and a lone six. Youngster Karl Deane bowled impressively for his 1/37 in 10 overs, while Gamble made a strong voice for selection, conceding only 31 runs and picking up a wicket in his ten overs, with 3 maidens. Carlton Drayton returned similar figures off his 10 overs.
Early on the Wulfs got off to a good start, Wilkinson and Villiers putting up 64 for the first wicket on a seaming track. Lee scored a painful 24, while Purse played a fine innings off 44 with four boundaries. Haughton hammered a quick 22 off 28 as well, but rest of the lineup crumbled, no batsmen scoring more than 1 single run, two ducks included.
In reply, the TT Lions lost an early wicket, Otto knocking off Cox's offstump after being smashed for a boundary. Greenwood batted beautifuly for his 36(42, 5*4) in an 82 run partnership with Delop which set them up in a good position. Crouch and Delop then took the team home. Otto and Mcclen were the only wicket takers, while Fieldwick bowled well too, concieving only 20 runs off 8 overs.
