Tour match thread -Scotland v Australia Aug 28

Well he hasn't scored in England yet so far. So yes a lot of question marks and they need to be answered in this game. Not a good position to be in but hopefully a few of these players stand up. Especially North and Hussey.

EDIT: Might sound a little left field but i would chuck in Rashid for an over or two considering Hussey and the middle order's perceptibility to slow bowling. He's a right hand leggie. hmmm.

Really good first over from Bres. Told ya he bowled at decent pace, and was getting some genuine swing as well. Our bowling stocks are looking really packed atm, wonder how Saj'll go in a few mins.

Oh My Lord. How close did Hussey go to losing his stumps and legs a couple of times there? Ponting, well what can I say except for; THAT WAS TERRIBLE. What a shitty shot. I wouldn't even play rubbish like that. Super (kat)man is doing alright (that was terrible I know) but he always is going good.

When he comes on tell us how quick he is, I actually want to know. When he was in NZ at the start of the year he was apparently lighting.

Howsie added 0 Minutes and 35 Seconds later...

Struass is out.

I don't want to sound like a cynic but what if one or two of our middle order players lose form. Who do replace them with? Injury prone Watson or Mcdonald who it seems doesn't bat at top 6 level.

Send an SOS to Hodge, Dussey hell I would even be tempted to go Cosgrove. All have proven themselves in England, can't say the same for Watson or McDonald.

Syl, I think the Raiders success has gone to your head. One miracle doesn't mean a million other are going to occur! Settle down boy!

Cook's out.

Saj always takes a little while to get into his rhythm, first over he was averaging about 85-86mph, can crank it up to about 92-93 once he's into his rhythm though.

Just noticed that, gone to Tahir. Hopefully Rav'll get a few.

Katich is starting to get a move on. Is the bowling poor?

Lions are bowling well actually, Katich just looks in very good nick. The one boundary he hit off Bres was down to 3rd man. He's certainly not hammering poor bowling.

Commentators are right. England have to find way to unsettle Katich. Like Chanderpaul he is very annoying with that movement to off side from leg stump guard.

Wonder if Saj bowls well around the wicket. He has pace to get the ball sneaking between bat pad.
