Tournment Ends

With so much technology available to us it is archaic to be allowing so much human error to be permitted by retaining the full services of the umpires. India couldn't get Dilshan out and that fact remains, yet he's sitting in the sheds :noway

Thats right ... If UDRS comes into force then Bhajji wont be able to get many wickets as most of his dismissals are of this way :laugh... Maybe thats why BCCI are holding it back then?:spy

I believe that common sense WILL prevail and the referral system will be brought into cricket as a permanent mainstay. Much like what has happened with tennis. And it won't be too soon, either.

Umpires should not be having the only say in whether a batsman is out or not out. The human eye and brain is error-prone, and we need technological support. Otherwise players like Dishan will be robbed of what should rightfully be theirs by merit.

Seriously this is moronic coverage from cricinfo! Its like 3 overs beyond now in commentry!

If this would have been a Tendulkar dismissal, Gavaskar would have started his lectures. MNS would have started a rally and then the best thing that India is known for burning effigies :sarcasm and then Media

MNS are anti- tendulkar at the moment. But you are spot on with Gavaskar. :p

Sri Lanka are well and truly on top here. They look well on track to get a score of around 450 from here on which would be a disaster from the Indian point of view.

You have jinxed him :doh

I knew it! Argh.. :cutit

CaptainOZ added 1 Minutes and 53 Seconds later...

Could anyone read Ohja's lips after the dismissal? Cicinfo said that he yelled a few words at the Prasanna when he got out. Wonder what he said....
