Inflation is out of control in Battrick! I can't seem to get a good bowler even with 2.7 million !!

You can't, I've been trying for weeks. It took me 3 and a half and I got lucky with a real bargain.

put this guy on the transfer market because i was bored and he's always crap for me,I didn't know what he was worth so i just asked for 10K :p I rarely play him and certainly don't need him.
Alan Thain (1101708)
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
An attacking player with respectable leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: Broady
Nationality: England
Age: 23 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 3,850
Wages: ?449 p/w
Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: competent Consistency: feeble
Fielding: mediocre

He is not a bad bowler with decent secondaries. It is wierd, his batting secondary (Concentration) is higher then his bowling secondary (Consistency). He will probably sell on the fact that he is comptent bowling but 23 years old and abysmal stamina, he probably won't get for 10k.

I actually meant to put 100k in the hope a real n00b would do it by accident :p a little evil ;)

It wouldn't take too long to fix up his weaknesses, but unfortunately he'd still only be worth 10k to the market.

I listed a couple of guys for nothing

Thomas Christopher - proficient keeper with good supporting fielding skill, just can't bat. Should average 3 catches per match or better in average leagues. At first I planned to keep him for FC matches, but it's been a long time since then. Good pickup if your team was blessed with all round talent but not keeping.

James Conelly - triple competents batsman. Can bowl against poor teams if necessary (useful in friendlies). Hasn't been very successful, but is probably best lower in the order that where I tended to put him. Nevertheless, I know a few coaches have complained they lack reasonable bats, so here's a chance to get one going cheap.

Should I get this guy for 2.2 million ???

The Guy I put up for 1 Million isn't that bad.
Nah, I don't want a respectable. If it's a Proficient I want the secondaries to be really high. Strong with good secondaries is ideal. I'm not sure if I'll get a superb for ?2.7 million but I'll try.

I left him. It's really annoying me now. I thought ?2.7 million was plenty, for a decent bowler, not a superstar or anything.

Well, I suppose I can afford decent proficients, but really it's the upper end of the market that's affected more. There's a huge difference between strong and superb, and likewise quality and remarkable. If I sold Allardyce now, I might even get 8 million or more.
