Does anyone here think that maybe fixed transfers would be easier than a bidding war??
I mean yes you might not get as much for players but it would make buying a lot easier for financially handicapped teams.
We could still have the transfer search tool and sellers could set asking prices for players. Buyers could then make an offer whether it be higher or lower than the asking is upto them. The seller can then choose to accept or not.

The only thing I could think of, which would be pretty funny, is if the battrick boffins work on increased simulation of player behaviour. When you get a player you have to commit him to a contract, if he's too good for you he will probably only agree to short term and expensive wages, if he's a bit weak or older he'll look for as many seasons as possible. You could elect to "initiate discussions" with a particular player that you like. If he is really unhappy at his club, or nearing the end of his contract, the activity would be successful, then you be able to lure him to your team with minimal public interest.
