Transfer Thread

Your stupid. Why are you buying anybody in the first place when your in serious debt? :noway

What a n00b. Just because hes bored?

Just stick to a low number of players in your squad and resist the temptation of buying unneeded players.

I'm after a trainee bowler. I've picked up myself a 'keeper to train (never tried training a keeper so this will be interesting). I've got no idea what nets to give a trainee keeper.

Plays For: NSWdemons
Nationality: England
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 4,754
Wages: ?465 p/w
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: respectable
Bowling: worthless Consistency: feeble
Fielding: worthless

Cost me 2k. Will put him on 2 bat in place of my 18yo Resp/feeble. Here is what my nets will be

18yo resp/comp on 2 batting nets
18yo prof/med on 1 bowl, 1 field and 1 wicketkeeper
32yo strong/strong on 1 bowl, 1 field and 1 wk. [He'll go off this schedule if I get another decent trainee]
17yo resp/med on 2 bat.

I'm training his secondaries. I need the bowling to make sure his cons pops and not his conc. He's gone from Strong/med to strong/strong in a few weeks. Every second week he pops a few levels in cons.

Wow, thats good! I may do that with this player:

Code:
Maurice Dyer (1294282) shortcut

Maurice is a RH Batsman and RFM Bowler. He is an attacking player with proficient leadership skills and strong experience.

He currently has superb batting form, respectable bowling form and sublime fitness.
Plays For: West Coast Wizards
Nationality: New Zealand
Age: 24 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 8,668 (+32)
Wages: ?1,570 p/w
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: proficient Concentration: feeble
Bowling: respectable Consistency: feeble
Fielding: woeful

I've got him on a batting net and a fielding net with 2 Sports Psychologists.

How many SPs do you have?

He wouldn't be old enough for his secondaries to pop as quickly as my 32yo. Do you have a good 30+ year old?

I have 2 SP's as well.

Edit: Really good player though. I would stick a WK net on him too.

Nah, no really good 30+ year old to train. I want this guy to pop at least once or maybe twice in both secondaries so he can be a top 6 batsman in my team as well as open the bowling (I'm playing in lowly divisions and plan to for this season and the next).

If he pops just once in both secondaries he would be pretty damn good. If you have At Stumps it should tell you when he should pop. Battrick Helpfile also has something which gives a general idea of how long it will take for a player of a certain age to pop.

Lucas Orsborne (366736)
Lucas is a RH Batsman and RM Bowler. He is a steady player with feeble leadership skills and sensational experience.

He currently has proficient batting form, superb bowling form and sublime fitness.

Plays For: Mental Blank

Battrick Rating: 25,644
Wages: ?6,434 p/w

Stamina: strong Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: quality Concentration: strong
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: feeble

Orsborne is up for a starting bid of 50k.

They basically tell you to hire a SP for each player you are training. So if you are training 4 you would hire 4.

That makes sense. Cheers.

Richard Haldane (2561328) shortcut
