Spare ratings are the ratings leftover. So add up the ratings, with 1000 for dreadful, 2000 for poor, 3000 for ordinary, 4000 for average and so on so on my player it adds up to 17k, and since his rating is 20k, he has 3k spare ratings. And I think he's close to a batting pop and probably an endurance pop.

Hedger's player should probably fetch him 100k at the least, youth transfers look very strange to me with massive price variations now and then.

It won't take much time in getting his fielding up by 2 pops but his experience will surely take time as I'm not div. 4 and div. 5 respectively.

Atleast he'll be taking wickets. Also I think LWS is the rarest breed of bowlers in FTP.

I invested like 0 in academies for 3 seasons. It doesn't really hurt, especially if you are just going to buy players off the transfer market rather than train them.

And a suggestion, if you are winning your leagues comfortably, don't sign new players since it is excess wages for the same result. Just a suggestion.

Don't worry about that, this table will tell you the story so far. Not to mention that I'm playing the top 3 sides of my division in the final 3 rounds while my nearest relegation rival, Aston CC plays the 4th,5th and the 8th placed sides. My future opponents are rated at 147k,127k and 121k respectively while my best rating turns out to be only 112k.
