Trescothick goes home!

I feel for him. Whether it's just general build up or due to missing his family, it's only a bad thing for himself personally and for Cricket. The worrying thing is that I can see this affecting oither players. Trescothick started touring as the schedules were getting heavy and as has been said, 6 years of constant moving about etc is disrupting.

He really doesn't look in a good way.
Jet-lag? Stick me on a plane for that long and I'd look just as bad afterwards.

That doesn't even look like Marcus Trescothick! I had to look twice and I'm still not sure!

I reckon what was reported in the article is correct, why would the media/fans want to try and tear that up anymore. If he had said family/personal reasons then you would see some speculation but not when they have come out openly and said it's due to stress.

Now you really are naiive :D

Puddle - Im not saying it's something else other than personal reasons. I am saying it's is more than likely not as simple as a stress related illness.

There's a difference between Jet lag and mental exhaustion.

What I mean is, there were pictures of him going into the airport in Sydney and he looked OK, well not as bad, those shots in this thread were taken in the Airport in England, all I'm saying is, it's going to have an affect.

Not to mention pictures are just pictures. It's pretty easy to take a load of pictures and use the ones that come out worse. Surely you've taken enough piccies in your own life and had them developed only to realise you, or someone else, looks completely horrid in a couple of them :p

I wouldn't read too much in the picture, dont expect everyone who has some sort of mental breakdown to walk around in a straight jacket with their hair all other the place (mad professor style). Mental illnesses manifest in all sorts of ways. I am sure we haven't heard the full story but them we are not his family or his doctors so have no right to intrude.

But then surely he'd look just as bad boarding the plane as he did coming off of it. I would find the picture, but I think I only saw it as footage on SSN. It's a long flight so to say that that would have no affect is naive.

Marcus Trescothick is one of my fav' players, and my #1 fav' England player.
I was really looking forward to watching this bloke bat, I love his style,
and more so, his mentality when he bats.

This sucks...
Just hope the rest of the England side go home with depression aswell,
and after the 5th day of the 2nd test, that may just happen.
