Tutsi's A.I. Patches

ya I did'nt edges to spinners in test for the same reason...
I played one more match this time against SA and got 2 edges in this game...
one from kallis and another from hall...
so far I am very happy with the spinners in oneday...

Well those edges have actually gone in the latest beta patch. I wish there was a way that we could have just the right amount of edges... Now in the beta 3 patch , there are almost no edges. ...

There was one of Ravis earliest patches... which I remember playing with a looooong time ago.. maybe feb 2004.. and there were a lot of edges with spinners, however .. these were all in front of the wicket(Bat pad catches) and would lob up very high and go wide of the close in fielders...This was too unrealistic ... I once bowled out 5 wickets in one over with sehwag by just placing fielders in the right place.. the batsmen would defend , the ball would lob up and they would be gone....

What we really need is a few bat pad catches .. and more with the tail enders so they cant just defend 120 balls on a dusty pitch against quality bowlers like warne, kumble without scoring a single run!!! A few edges to the slips on dusty pitches.

But I must say that the top order play spin really well, the batting is very very realistic now, as they punish bad ballls, keep out good ones, come down the track once in a while,, play sweeps/reverse sweeps... even play some excellent backfoot shots! Most importantly it is very difficult to get the cpu out by bowling the same type of ball again and again as they dont play the same way each time..

I got one lbw bowling the doosra and pitching it shot and at the stumps and the batsmen tried to sweep and was lbw.. Tried the same ball dozens of times with the same spin, same speed but the batsmen would play different shots each time and actually never got a wicket again the same way..

Australia are 360 all out in the first innings. Gilchrist hit 72 off almost 150 balls and gillespie stonewalled for 3 off 140 balls!! Gilchrist finally lobbed one up in the air and was caught. Warne was stumped off harbhajan and gillespie was run out(this is with the runout.exe fix!)
I have already pointed out the things which need to be fixed...
1. Need edges with spinners on dusty pitches.
2. need more lbw /bowled for fast bowlers
3. Tailenders are very very hard to get out(I believe tutsi mentioned this has already been fixed)
4. Batting needs to be a little tougher.... again on hard level this should take care of the problem.
5.The aggression level for the top order in tests is very good now

I think I will now wait for tutsis next fix before playing my second innings....

**These are for the new 4th BETA patch.(Un-Released)

1. Well u won't get the edges normally but when u play power boosted shots early on then u will get edges but as usual they will go like edges go against pace bowlers. No fix yet.

2. LBW/Bowled - Well now there is a chance of an LBW or getting them bowled. I myself have got them LBW and bowled. But these are very rare which adds realism. But from now there is a chance.

3. Fixed

4. Ya batting on hard will be difficult. But the BETA patch will again be on NORMAL.

5. I hope this is the same in the BETA patch too.

Great work as usual Tutsi-
Has the yorker prob been resovled?

the fact that none get through, someone was looking for the code in the gob which corrected this, sorry thought it was you

ya i knw but the main thing is that there is no sure shot value in he cfg editor which controls how the cpu bowls.

but since it is the normal mode thats why soo many extras. i'm sure in the final version u'll find less extras in the HARD mode.

yeah, i just thought i should mention it...i think everythings covered....but i will continue to play and see if there r anything elase

I started playing the second innings. The only difference was that I imported joesaadti dusty pitch. Now technically speaking , it shouldnt make a difference , however I did find it much harder in the second innings. There were a lot more edges when I played shots outside off stump and the ball was harder to time. I dont know if this is because this is the 4th day ... or the dusty pitch itself. After scoring 540 in the first innings and a 120 run lead , I am now 86/5 off 24 overs and am in a spot of bother.... Its really interesting that in the first innings I flashed outside off stump regularly and used to get boundaries , but now am actually getting a lot more edges with the same patch!!

hmm thats interesting... i played on the 3rd day on a dusty pitch, but no edges

and about joesaadti dusty pitch, it wouldnt make a difference because its just an image,
even tho some ppl say that certain marked up areas are different... i doubt it tho

The Next BETA version of the 7.5 patch to be released very very soon. Either tonight or by tommorow.

Any questons regarding the patch are welcomed so that i can make any last minute changes/tweaks to the patch IF REQUIRED.

Second innings has been much tougher going , however ganguly and patel settled down and have taken the score to 170/5 with gangul getting 70+ not out. As I slowly played myself in , the shots were easier to time and Ganguly started getting a few fours off the spinners.(Unlike the first innings were the pacemen were murdered and the spinners were very hard to play) It is the final session on day 4 and I have a lead of around 350 and may declare soon. Will wait for the next beta patch for the aussie second innings

Tutsi's 7.5 3rd BETA Patch is hard man that's what I needed. cool man... best patch!!
