Tutsi's A.I. Patches

well the inside edge only happens when u play those shots a bit early. i have made it so that there is always a chance of getting bowled or even if it misses the stump u get reminded of the inside edge so that u can play the shot more carefully next time. i believe i adds to the realism.

FACT OF THE DAY - 25th FEB

**There will be inside edges in couple of more shots(6-Hit) in the Final Version of the patch.

I started bowling to pakistan and they lost three wickets to edges in the first over from pathan on a green top and it looked like they were going to get all out for less than 20..However once the first few overs were done , the edges didnt come as often and even if they did they fell short of the slips or wicketkeeper or went above his head. They are now 150/6 off 30 overs which isnt bad considering they were 2/4 !!

I've been unhappy with the fact that people are using my patch as a base. Modifying, tweaking some thing here and there and then releasing it with their own name.

I make and introduce new tech. in my patches and others just make it as their own and the credit goes down the drain.

Moreover the fact is that their patches are somewhat similar to mine. So people do get the same thing from different people.

This is for those guys who have recently learned how to edit and modify the A.I using CFG Editor.

We don't want the same thing from different people. So start off with a FRESH GOB and make something brilliant.

Just a few observations...

1. When u play a shot slightly early the ball usually goes in the air.

2. When u play a shot slightly late you are more likely to close the face of your bat and get and inside edge onto your stumps.

I often get out like this in real life.

i knw but many times it can and it is the other way around, u do get inside edges when u play a shot,i.e ,late cut, square cut a bit early.

well the thing is that if i set this inside edge for the slightly late played shot then you r sure to get MANY inside edge. coz out natural tendency while mis-timming is to play the shot a bit late while playing cricket 2004. it is very rare that we mis-time a shot while playing it early.

i actually seem to get bowled LOADS when attemping those shots, as my tendency is to play shots slightly early (too eager the wack those short wide balls..lol)

Well i'm not pointing out to anyone, no hard feelings for anyone. NEVER EVER.

all i would like to say is that people who want to start making patches should not use by patch or infact anybody's patch as a base coz we are hoping for new things from different patches.

Thats all i have to say.

PEACE man..........and.......

Hey guys i need more review on the pacing in ODI 20,50 overs.

every other aspect of the patch is nearly complete. its just that i have no idea as to what to do with the pacing....improve it, leave it as it is?

Review of ODI on ur patch!

Here is a review of ur patch in a ODI. India vs England at Chennai on a Normal pitch (Normal Level!)

England are put in to bat first. I did this to test the CPU pacing. England got off to a rollicking start with 18 runs off the first 2 overs due to bad fielding placements by me! But after the third over, it started dipping. By the 5th over, they lost 3 wickets and were 35/3 at 5 overs. They continued to score freely but due to better field placing after the first two overs, they holed out to the man standing at the edge of the circle at mid off. Trescothick, Strauss and Thorpe were out this way Earlier, Vaughan was sent packing by Khan was a straight delivery which Vaughan tried to play a cover drive and was bowled. Then Flintoff and Collingwood tried to settle things down and Flintoff was very aggressive throughout his innings. In the 15th over when Bhajji was introduced, in the 2nd ball, Flintoff charged down the wicket to an almost straight ball and was bowled! England are 82/5 off 15 overs. I like ur pacing in the first 15 overs. I dont know if the 5 wickets is a flaw with ur patch or due to my good field placing. But certainly the advance shot is a flaw with C2004 and you said it is part of the batsman's aggression and cant be toned down. But why does he go for this shot when the ball is straight on the stumps? He goes for the advance shot on the off side when the ball is aimed almost on the stumps. Other than that, a very good ODI patch as well. I hink from now on, the batsmen will settle down and play less aggressive shots. The pacing is just perfect. Its just that a few bugs in the game spoil it overall. Here is the scorecard of the match!

tutsipatchreviewcard6ns.jpg

Things that are not right (not related to ur patch!)

  • CPU trying to cover drive balls on the off stump
  • too many advance down the wicket shots to balls not wide enough!

Tutsi's Patch BETA - 5

Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo........

Man...this is the next and the IMPROVED BETA version of my upcomming patch.

Hmm....well i have tweaked the usual things to make the gameplay better.

I have made batting in ODI and TEST a bit harder.

Well i have also tweaked something which can do 2 possible things.....

A) Make the game even much more better then before.

B) Can totally backfire and take the game down.(Chances are very very rare)

Now u gotta test this and tell me what do you want more in the final version.

**Patch is for NORMAL difficulty only, ODI(20,50 Overs) & TEST.

It is advisable and personally recommened to use Boss's Field Settings(v2 or v2-rr) with my patch. They make the patch much more better.

Install the patch(*.CFG) with Prakash's Cfg Editor.

I though about making my own field settings but ended up making fields quite similar to Boss's. So i though it would be better to use Boss's tried and tested fields with the patch. I hope its OK with Boss.

Don't forget about posting any kind of Comments, Reviews, Suggestions, etc regarding the patch after download.

!!! WORD LIFE !!!

Thanks for releasing this Tutsi! When is the final version due? Will post my review soon!

thanks tutsi - will post a review soon..
Btw I finally finished my previous match. after a disastrous start pakistan managed to get a 7th wicket partnership of nearly 180 runs and were all out for 230 chasing 310. Once the cpu gets set it was rather difficult to get them out (especially as the ball lost its shine)

Lets hope that with batting made tougher the matches will be close..
