Tutsi's A.I. Patches

True , the spinners are harder to play ... both by us as well as the cpu..If the cpu bowls 3 spinners then I really struggle to score runs..The cpu struggles against spinners as well, despite the fact that they actually play a greater variety of shots against them...They tend to play and miss quite a few balls as they misread the spin.They very rarely miss the pace bowlers.

yea i will certainly tweak the pacing for the final version.

but one thing i wanna make clear is that.....u know times and again we have said that the pacing file for the cpu is quite simple. there is no value(s) which determine as to how cpu will play under different situation. we can only determine as to how cpu will play its full quota of overs irrespective of the fact that how many runs he requires, how many wickets he has,etc. so we tweak the pacing in such a way that he is able to score a good total while playing his full quota of overs. 283/5 is not at all a bad total in a 50 over game, the thing here was that batting was easy for you and thats why u scored 380+, suppose if the batting had been difficult and if u would have scored say around 280+ or 290+ then u would have loved the pacing of the cpu saying that it played sensefully, kept its wickets till the end and tried to win the match in a close contest.

well I played cricket2004 after a loooong time...
so I tried tutsi's new 7.5 patch beta 4...
and I decided to play a test match Ind vs. pak
it was a dusty wicket and warm weather...
and at the end of the match I was left speechless...
I got cpu all out for 0 runs in first inning and 2 runs in second inning...
balaji got 6 wickets and pathan got 4 wickets in first inning...
while pathan got 8 and balaji got 2 in second inning...
didnt even got a chance to use spinners...
I am still in shock and dont know what to say...
 
Tutsi, Need to look at the specs for the spin bowlers. Certain shots eg the late cut is very very hard to play. Overall the spinners specs needs to be tweak a bit for easier game play for the CPU & players.

Did u play on Easy level? With any level, that should not possible at all.

no I didnt play it on easy level and this not the fist time I have done this...fraps dont wonk on my pc so I'll try to get screen shot too...

Is this a miracle or what?? I dont think Tutsi has made such a yucky patch!! Its working great for many of us (two of the story threads including mine going on are using this patch and the results are very good!)

ya I have been following ur thread so I was expecting similar results moreover I have always been a big fan of tutsi's patches so I was a bit surprised at the results too...and if u r wondering how did I do that then I have already mentioned my style of bowling in my earlier post so u can try that too...

and hey tutsi I batted for few overs and noticed that square cut/late cut get back of stumps tooooo often....before it use to go behind stumps but now its like almost guarantied that it will come back right on ur stumps...after scoring 400+ runs I lost 5 wickets out of 6 in that fashion...I think it takes away the realism..I think it was cool in ur last patch...u may wanna look into it....and I think cpu padding too often is also cool because atleast they dont lose their wicket that way...other then that I dont know how cpu play once settled...

Yeah I was shocked at that too when I read it.

Tutsi, I've been getting way to many byes when the CPU bowls on a hard pitch, and I've never had that problem before until I installed your patch. Even with that bug, its the best patch I've played with so far.

Saisrini, why is it that you have 200 posts more than I do but still have a 2nd XI Cricketer status while I have 1st XI Cricketer status?
 
oh man not again....
I reinstalled my game and installed this patch on new gob...
just to make sure eveything was fine...
this time on a normal pitch...
it had little improvement i.e. all out for 5...
didnt even bother to play second inning...
bowling same line and length is not very effective in oneday though...
cause cpu tries to play shot and not defend it...
9 out of my last 10 wickets fell playing defensive shot in test...
I think ODI is cool...
bowled like 10 over for 2 wicket and 23 runs...

I dont know buddy. But does it matter much? I am happy as long as I am able to access the forums and post messages.

Tutsi, what could be the reason for littlegenius's shocking scores in tests? we dont get it at all. the CPU scores really well against me (328 a/o in the first innings and now it is 313/9 in the second). I am not too bad a bowler. And even in nightprowler's thread, the cpu scored 252 which is a very decent score.

Hey littlegenius, are u playing in Normal mode?? Just checking. But even on Hard mode, you cant get scores below 10.

Reading littlegenius90 post saying that he got cpu all out for 0,2 and 5 runs. MAN thats is immpossible, even w/o a patch on easy level its not possible. I have no idea as to why he got them out. Are u playing on NORMAL? Besides in any other mode u can't get the cpu out on 0. There is something seriously wrong with ur copy of the game.

immpossible!!! ya right
ok I knew ppl wont bellieve me...morever fraps dosent work on my pc..
so I had no proof...so I was expecting something like "maybe something is wrong with ur copy"...so I was prepaired for it....
assuming my copy is bad...assuming my pc is bad...
I play this game on my friends pc...new pc...new gob...new patch...
so I let my friend play the first game...and it looked lot similar to saisrini80's test match...so I had my hopes high...next I played...
but same result...but the cool thing is I got a hat trick too this time...although I didnt get them all out for 0 this time but it should give u rough idea of whats going on...



all out for 9 and that too courtesy of my 9 no ball



all our for 5...atleast cpu scored 2 runs by itself



just to make sure I wasnt playing on hard...

so.....here is my point...
nothing against ur patch man...as I said before I have always been a big fan of ur patches...
I have tried almost every patch out there...but I got similar results....so I have decided one thing....
so I dont know whats going on anymore...
maybe my hand starts malfunctioning when I play cricket 2004 causing all those things... :D
so I guess the only solution of my problem is...autoplay :(
