Tutsi's A.I. Patches

Okay maybe this is a stupid question Tutsi, but let me ask anyways. I had installed the 7.4 patch and played exclusively on the hard level with that. Now I have the 7.5 Beta 4 installed, but I was playing on the Hard level still. Does that mean that actually I am still playing with the 7.4 patch? And to play on the 7.5 patch I have to do it on Normal difficulty? Or does some of the changes in 7.5 also come through on Hard level? I hope you understand what I am asking.

Regardless looks like I will have to restart my Pakistan tour of India thread. :crying :crying :crying

well the answer is quite simple.

after installing my 7.5 beta-4 u will have to resume ur match at NORMAL difficulty. this BETA patch is only for NORMAL difficulty mode.

Will your 7.5 final definatley be in hard mode Tutsi?

ofcourse it will include HARD mode.

I meant, will it have to be played in NORMAL like the 7.5 patch or HARD not whether hard was included

To me it seems that the ball seams of the pitch but also tends to swing after pitching..
But I guess I stand corrected.. seams not swings, atleast till Sam's patch

Tutsi's Patch ROCKS!!

To say that your patch is awesome is an understatement! It really ROCKS!!! Here is my review on NORMAL level!

India vs Australia at Cairns, Australia

Conditions

Wicket: Green
Weather: Warm

Australia put in to bat first by India!

Australia have scored 93/4 in the first session (27 overs!). It has been really challenging to pick wickets and whenever I pick a wicket, it gives immense satisfaction. I was not really excited whenever I take a wicket before with any other patch. Here, its really hard work. My first wicket (Langer) was a bowled when Langer came forward and the ball missed the bat to be bowled by Pathan. Then came in Ponting and both Ponting and Hayden played really sensibly picking the odd boundary and some singles along with leaves to balls outside off stump. Then Ponting was out to a ball from Zaheer Khan when he tried to cover drive a ball on off stump and was bowled. Then came in Martyn and he played the same way Hayden and Ponting were. But Hayden didnt last long. Just when was started to take the attack to tatters, he was brilliantly bowled by Pathan when the ball seamed in to take his off stump. Then Lehmann joined Martyn and surprisingly, Lehmann started off aggressively. Just when Martyn and Lehmann were building a partnership, Pathan bowled a fastish off cutter and Martyn missed it to see his stumps rattled

Positives:
The real test match!!! A great opening session. If this is how the CPU plays on a green wicket, I fear how they would score against me on a normal or hard wicket! The run rate was really realistic and was hovering around 3 an over until Lehmann came and took it to above 3.5 per over. It was really challenging for the bowlers and you can really enjoy when you pick up a wicket (as I said before!). This gives me great enjoyment to play and I am looking forward to play this test match fully! Realistic amount of edges for me here!

Negatives:

WELL, CANT THINK OF ANY (AT LEAST FOR ME!)

Final Statement:

Awesome patch for test matches! If Tutsi can get one in for the Hard Level too which is similar to this, a real treat for the gamers here!!

Well, I was enjoying the first session so much that I got some screenshots of the scorecard and Batting Stats. Here, they are!

Man...i guess u really really enjoyed the match.

Well i hope everybody is reading this +VE review of the patch...:D ;)

**In my last test match IND(me) vs AUS, i got realistic amount of edges AGAINST SPINNERS, just like we do against the pace bowlers. But the only problem was that the edges went like they do against pace bowlers. We havn't found a fix for this yet.

man....why are u sooo confused.

My final patch will be for - Normal & Hard Mode, ODI (10,20,45,50) & TEST Matches.

It will be a complete patch for all modes and every difficulty.

So u can play it in any situation that u like.

I hope ur question is answered.

Sorry Tutsi, i understand what u meant in the post before last now.

Thats really strange ... Lehman in my test match was very very defensive ... whereas hayden and gilchrist were very aggressive....I like the unpredictable behaviour though .. it keeps the bowlers on the toes..It is quite difficult to get wickets with the new patch and may even be harder on hard level..I think this will make tests last longer..They have been going onto the fifth day for me unlike the beginning when they were over the third day.

Well, yeah. Really enjoyable! As ashwin says, its unpredictable who scores in a given situation. Here is an update to that match. Second session went better than the first session. Australia (CPU) have scored 216/6. Katich is not out on 70* and accompanying him is Brett Lee. Gilchrist was out for 14 stumped when he charged down and Lehmann was caught at long off for 64 when he tried to attack! Both wickets went to the spinners. A great patch really!! And CPU scored 123 runs off 28 overs. They were more aggressive than they were in the first session and scored like how Australia do in real life (4+ an over). Was getting frustrated at many times due to the lack of wickets but thats fine. I was frustrated before that i got too many wickets. This frustration is better!

Update: India 65/5 off 12 overs | Gillespie 5/28 off 5 overs

good match......man......i too like the unpredictable nature of the CPU under different situations.

plz review the ODI too. i need the review so that i can improve and fix the odi in the final version IF NEEDED.

I have played a test match with your 7.5 beta 4 patch. So far its great! The batsmen play safe yet hit the bad balls for 4. This was evident when i bowl 2 perfect balls followed by a wide half volley. I expected the cpu to leave it like the previous balls yet he smashed it along the floor for 4. I repeated this several times and every time bar 1 it was hit for a boundary. Furthermore, the batsmen seem to live up to their weakness. i was looking at the player editor and it said that AB De Villiers weakness was off stump. So i thought that if i repeatedly bowled there he would go after one and edge it. I did this and it took roughlt 50 odd balls before he did. At the start he left them but then he would play and miss and finaly he edged it palying the cover drive. It might have be coinicidence but i think it wasn't. Keep up the good work.

Tutsi , batting in one days seems a bit too easy...
I started a one day match with indi vs aus on a hard pitch at Sydney. Sehwag was out in the first over to lee(lbw).I had laxman come in at one drop and it was pure mayhem from then on.., I am now 180 for4 off 17 overs!! With the tweaked timing .. it is much easier to get boundaries.. I tried this match with coolgameplay field settings to see if it works.. the field settings are good but too easy to penetrate.. If I hit a few fours in one area the CPU puts a lot of fielders there and then leaves wide open spaces so I just go over the top in the vacant spots and get 2 boundaries almost every over. The cpu bowls a lot of wides as well(presumably because this is normal level). The spinners are still challenging to hit however and lehman is tough to put away where lee and mcgrath are going for 11-12 an over.

Laxman in particular was amazing .. I even hooked lee for a one bounce four .. got boundaries with back foot ondrive, lofted on drive, front foot on drive, leg glance , square cut .. almost all shots..Finally got lbw to one that I played across.

I did lose 4 wickets though and the key now is to be patient and hold on to wickets as it is only the 17th over and I can easily score my highest ever one day total if I tried!!!

Batting is actually a dream .. but hopefully will be more challenging in the hard level where the CPU bowls less loose deliveries, extras etc(26 extras already)

Also I must admit that this a perfect pitch for batting and on a green top I might have not had as high a run rate..

My shot of the day was however was LAxmans hook , I can rarely connect with the ball when I try that shot

Hi tutsi, just started my series with India against Pakistan on a Chennai dusty wicket. The problem here is that again the cpu is too too slow. They have scored 30/2 off 22 overs. They are leaving lot of deliveries. Salman Butt scored some good runs after gaining full confidence but was out soon. Then it was sluggish with the batsman leaving everything outside off and defending everything on the stumps. AND I AM PLAYING ON NORMAL LEVEL! It was good on a green wicket but not so good on a Dusty wicket!

just started playing a test match with india against england..... dusty pitch and i took only pathan as my pacer, kumble harbajan and karthik spiners.... opened with kartik and pathan .. then swtiched to harbajan and pathan, during the 8th or 9th over treskotic danced down the pitch to harbajan. and got stupmed.... i was pretty surprised actually, never thought the AI would chip down in the first 10 overs on a TEST match...... otherwise no problems except that he AI seems to be able to hit any shot in any direction. ive notided this is 50 over matches as well.... no matter what i do, they find the gaps.... its ok tho, as it leads to higher AI totals and harder bowling for us.... i also noticed that the AI miss times to backfoot late cut, the dab through the gully or slips. this causes them to produce edges frequently

I had an amazing one day match. Finished with 382/9 after my amazing start against Australia. The middle order crumbled as I played one shot too many out of over confidence and then ended up at 216/8 in 25 overs. From then on I had to keep my wickets till the very end and Dravid and Pathan put on an amazing partnership , with Dravid scoring 112 and getting run out off the last ball and Pathan scoring 65 not out...
This is my highest total ever with any patch(despite being on normal) in a one day match. I think I could have scored 450 easily if I hadnt been dumb enough to lose wickets that early...
Australia have started off well but face an impossible task ...
