Based on performance Sachin should be automatic choice :p

Remember the IPL:p

Asia

Verndar Sehwag
Tamim Iqbal
Kumar Sangakara +
Suresh Raina
Umar Akmal
Shakib al Hasan 6
Angelo Mathews 2
Shaid Afridi* 3
Md Aamer 1
Umar Gul 4
Lasith Malinga 5

I got 2 greatest old ball/death bowlers. So I gotta open with Mathews. And he usually opens in T20 anyways.

ROW

David Warner
Brendon McCullum
Kevin Peterson
Ab De Villiers/Ross Taylor
Cameron White
Paul Collingwood 5/ Eoin Morgan
Mike Hussey
Daniel Vettori 4
Shane Bond/Dale Styen 3
Dirk Nannes 2
Shaun Tait 1

World fastest bowlers are here. And the best finishers are here as well. Probably a bowler short.

One of these days ICC needs to cut down some of these overplayed Sri Lanka India series and organize matches between Asia v ROW. Properly, regular players. IN AUSTRALIA. - Best grounds, and best.coverage.

Dirk Nannes 2
Shaun Tait 1

they would get owned :facepalm

1. Brendon McCullum (wk)
2. Greame Smith
3. Tillerkaratne Dilshan
4. AB de Villiers
5. Ross Taylor
6. Shahid Afridi ^
7. Daniel Vettori (c) ^
8. Mohammad Aamer ^
9. Lasith Malinga ^
10. Dale Steyn ^
11. Umar Gul ^

There's a good lineup.

Kumar Sangakkara+
Kevin Pietersen
Eoin Morgan
Umar Akmal/Cameron White
Darren Sammy 5
Dan Vettori * 4
Lasith Malinga 2
Saeed Ajmal 3
Shaun Tait 1

4 overs a piece for Vettori, Malinga, Tait and Ajmal with Sammy and Kallis getting 2 each. Strong batting and strong bowling.

@ Riz, if anything it would be ol' man Bond who will get bashed around the park. That's why I have DS as back up

World T20 XI:

1. D.Warner
2. B.McCullum (wk)
3. K.Pietersen
4. T.Dilshan
5. D.Hussey
6. M.Hussey
7. S.Afridi
8. D.Vettori (c)
9. U.Gul
10. L.Malinga
11. S.Tait

From 17th july 2009 to 17th july 2010 David Warner averages 27 and Dilshan 20.
Riz commented on McLovins team but included Ross Taylor who over the past year averages just 18.
IMO those 3 don't deserve to be in a current World XI.

Warner does. 27 in T20 isn't bad.

high 40s-60s in test
high 30s-40s in ODI
21-30+ in T20 is decent enough

I think the "great" Twenty20 players will average above 30. Or should at least.

Anyways surprised Ajmal is only in one team, his doosra is perfect for Twenty20 and he usually takes a lot of prize wickets.

Also glad to see Pielard has not made any of the teams :)

Also super surprised at Mahela not being in some teams, he could easily slot in number 3 for the people who want a Baz Kallis/Warner opening pair.

Id pick Mahela over Taylor and Umar Akmal for sure.

@ Mac, why is Sehwag in your team? From memory he is nothing special in Twenty Int. Are you going off his IPL record? cause that is a no no, Gambhir > Sehwag

@ Riz, Graeme Smith does not score fast enough for Twenty20, he is like a Michael Clarke but can actually play a few big shots now and then, a good player but not worthy of the all time Twenty20 team

There are more then enough guys averaging 20 which would suggest that would be a solid Test average of 40 but there are those rare guys that average 30-40 and those are the really good players which in tests would be 50+.

Thats a requirement for me if the batsman is batting in the top 6.

I was surprised too. He has a low economy and takes wickets all the time. The best 20/20 spinner atm.

I would have included him if he actually averaged something with the bat. If his average was in the 20-25 range then he would be in for me. He is a really good fielder and his bowling is good enough.

I just wanna see Tamim and SehwFag open. I dont like the guy but...

Nah, I wanna see Tamim and Warner open together. But that was Asia, so i couldn't include Warner in that team. And for ROS/World XI, there are better T20 openers Tamim, so he wont make those team.

McLOVIN added 1 Minutes and 58 Seconds later...

It's Mc!!!

Some of the teams being listed (especially the World T20 XIs) don't seem to have many bowling options which in my opinion is a rather underrated factor considering the hot/cold nature of T20 matches, particularly for bowlers.

Riz commented on McLovins team but included Ross Taylor who over the past year averages just 18.

as long as its not international cricket he will perform in t20's and no.5 is perfect for him.

he is the second highest t20i run scorer and it would be better to have him and mccullum opening rather mccullum and someone like gayle.
