VB Series in Australia

You know why so many wickets fell so quickly, coz they were trying to score fast coz they had to get over 6 and over. If it hadnt rained all they would've had to get is 5.5 runs per over.

They still had to go at 5.6 runs an over when they started to lose wickets, at 150/1. If they had to bat for 50 overs they would have needed to go at about 5.4 an over. Does n't make much difference.

They would've paced their innings more, than just trying to smash every ball

For all you Indian Fans out there who think Ganguly didn't waste time on Thursday's ODI:

"Indian team fined for slow-over rate, Ganguly charged under ICC Code of Conduct

International Cricket Council (ICC) Match Referee Clive Lloyd today announced that he has fined the Indian team for a slow over-rate during yesterday's VB Series match against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (22 January).

Lloyd informed the Indian players and team management this evening that the side finished the game three overs short of the required rate.

Under the sanctions outlined in the ICC's Code of Conduct, each player receives a fine of five per cent of his match fee for each of the first five overs that the side is behind, whilst the captain receives a 10 per cent fine for each over that his team is down.

As such each Indian player has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee, with captain Sourav Ganguly receiving a 30 per cent fine.

Ganguly was also charged with a Level Two breach of the ICC's Code of Conduct which states: 'if the over rate is more than 5 overs short of the minimum overs in a Test match or more than 2 overs in an ODI match, the captain in addition to sanctions imposed in accordance with (i) and (ii) will be charged under C1 of the Code of Conduct, conduct contrary to the spirit of the game, on the basis of time wasting. (Level 2 offence).' P 173 ICC Code of Conduct.

As a result of this charge, the Indian captain received an additional fine of 50 per cent of his match fee.

Its says he initially got fined 30%, plus an additional 50%.

Ummmm I thought 30 + 50 = 80, prove me wrong.

INdia four for 3 wickets against Zimbabwe! :o :o Extremely bad position for India.

wat difference 50 min makes. India recover to 101/3 in 20 ovs thanks to in form Laxman and Supporting dravid. Always to the rescue.

u r calling the dl a cheat now but think last march it could have saved india and made india the world champions

What does that indicate?
D/L supports the team batting second most of the time.
If india wud have won the world cup, they did not deserve it .
I accept it
Even Ricky Ponting said that they were a bit lucky with the rain and that the rain made it easy for AUS
What more
It was in a news interview for ESPN/STARSPORTS

I think zim have had good periods in all games but not consistently
That is why they have not won any games
