Close match, i really wanted Zimbabwe to win.
not nessacaily, it may always help the team seoncd it may help the team first...the dl method i think is fairly good and india have nobody to blame but them selves rain or no rain....rain is part of the game and u have to live with that...Originally posted by adi123@Jan 24 2004, 10:19 AM
u r calling the dl a cheat now but think last march it could have saved india and made india the world champions
What does that indicate?
D/L supports the team batting second most of the time.
If india wud have won the world cup, they did not deserve it .
I accept it
Even Ricky Ponting said that they were a bit lucky with the rain and that the rain made it easy for AUS
What more
It was in a news interview for ESPN/STARSPORTS
moreover i dont care what ponting thinks...i just care about my opnion and anybody on the boards...i am not going to change my opinino becuase a player said so
I do not think it was D/L. It was the previous rule. Tell me if I am wrong.Originally posted by adi123@Jan 25 2004, 12:16 PM
It helped them in winning a world cup in which they should have not even been finalists :devilish:
Do u remember the incident when SA were all set for a win and D/L made it 22 of 1 ball and If iam not wrong , there were a few more rained off matches in that world cup.
That's right it was an incredibly useless old rain rule.Originally posted by Iniyan+Jan 25 2004, 07:06 AM--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Iniyan @ Jan 25 2004, 07:06 AM)</div><!--QuoteBegin-adi123I do not think it was D/L. It was the previous rule. Tell me if I am wrong. [/b]@Jan 25 2004, 12:16 PM

B) everyone wants the rule to be changed ,but no one has come up with a better one .to replace it.Originally posted by andrew_nixon79+Jan 25 2004, 02:00 PM--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(andrew_nixon79 @ Jan 25 2004, 02:00 PM)</div>Originally posted by Iniyan@Jan 25 2004, 07:06 AM

B) i think shaun pollock was not happy with this rule he said after the world cup that a new rule should be made.but they got a new captain. :Originally posted by andrew_nixon79@Jan 25 2004, 02:08 PM
errr... actually all captains of international teams agree that it is the best rain rule anyone has come up with. and I agree with them.
Fans only don't like it when there team gets beaten because of it!
