Skills over experience - skater

skater is determined to make a return to football as the manager of PC United, The Daily Mail can reveal.

The former Blackpool chairman has applied for the post at the troubled club, and has rubbished claims that experience will see him miss out.

"I do not believe that experience is a necessity. Everything the other applicants have done in management will have been totally different to what they will witness at PC United," he said.

"Blackpool was a troubled club, just like this is. I oversaw a difficult takeover and I appointed a very good manager. I am a man for a crisis. I can guarantee the owners of PC United that I am their man."

The race to the job is hotting up.

"Hi, and welcome to the PC Velodrome to announce the new manager for PC United.

We have had a numerous amount of applications and reading through them all, all of the could have become the manager here, but there is one person who stood out from all the others, this man has great qualities and has come highly regarded by many of my contacts, and that man is.... Skater (Lee Payne) Thank you to everyone that applied, and we wish you well in the future!

Well done Lee, and welcome to PC United. Do you have anything to say?"

""I firmly believe the owners have made the right choice and I am determined to prove it. Under me, PC United will be a success again. Mark my words."

"We can also confirm that Blackburn midfielder David Bentley has joined us on a free transfer as he declined a new contract so he could join us, We now only need to fill the 4 defenders before next week and we are ready to play as FIFA have given us permission to play"

PC United manager thanks Fifa

Recently appointed PC United manager Skater has publicly thanked the sport's governing body as they approved his team to play.

"I have to thank Fifa. They have been very quick and reasonable in their handling of the issue. I thought it would be a lengthier process," he said.

"Now we can play again, we can start our push for every piece of silverware we can find. I want to win everything from the European Cup to the Tea Lady of the Year award."
