VGA prob?

hey guys .
when i start any game, in the middle of the game my Computer stop working for a while and the Computer screen is like Safe Mode and then it displays the following message:

Microsoft Windows detected and recovered from a device failure.please save your work and reboot to restore to full functionality.

plz can somebody tell me what is my Computer's prob and hows can i solve it?

Re-install your graphics card driver and it shall fix the problem.

do u have vista and nvidia GFX card?

If the driver's things dont work, see if your pc's overheating.

overheating is a cause for driver to reset.
but nvidia's drivers for vista generally crop up this error for apparently no reason.
v159 does solve this issue.

sometimes, bad sectors in hard disk where OS is installed also causes this error.

It just came to my mind that this error can also be due to memory stick being faulty, for all instructions pass through the memory itself
