Going from the T20s only three changes for Sri Lanka; Tharanga, Randiv and Lakmal in, both Pereras and Herath out. Last ODI, Karunaratne opened while Malinga and Prasad bowled. Pretty good batting order. Can't help but feel that Malinga will spend more and more time injured.

Australia, a fair bit different. Ponting, Clarke, Mike Hussey, Doherty and Bollinger were not in the T20 squad. Hastings, Paine, Pattinson and Ferguson also played in their last ODI. Several very welcome ins, but will their match fitness be good enough?

----------

Sweetest punch into the offside by Tharanga, barely any movement. Martynesque.

Looks like Clarke is doing an excellent job of handling the bowlers. Johnson in particular looks to be benefiting coming in late in the piece.

Does anyone know why Lee is only completing his 4th over? He's been economical so far. Has he been hurt?

When Lee finished his first spell, Clarke might've been thinking about having someone bowl three dozen yorkers. Lee might have been quiet, but it didn't look good for the seamers. When the spinners got rid of the openers, the captain might have thought he could use 30 overs of spin. Then Johnson got all the other wickets and now he's thinking 'hey cool Brett Lee plays for this team too.'

Can't actually see the game but looking at the scorecard, Mitch looks to have bowled well so far and the SL batsman are struggling.

Australia needs to break this partnership, it's starting to become a problem for them.

The partnership is broken and Johnson gets five. Sounds like it is well deserved. Hopefully he carries this onto the Test series.

two short covers for watson... bowler drops short and watson pulls it away powerfully. not sure about that tactic.

Australia pulled out a dominating win. I didn't get to see the match, so how did Johnson ball? Good? Or was it very bad batting by SL?

Lol thought we had no chance after those t20s. Good comeback and good to see Ponting back in the runs. Off to watch the highlights :thumbs

Ha Mitchell Johnson does great job and swinging the emotions of his fans. One minute he is bowling absolute piss and the next minute he bowling superb. Such an enigma this man has become *sighs*

Watson as all the commentators said needs to change gears better. In the last two games all he needed to do, was run the singles after smoking the spinners so easily in the early overs. He has a unique ability bully spinners, so hopefully he improves on that as this tour progresses.

Sounds like Johnson was bowling with the seam up, if that is the case then it makes you wonder wtf Cooley was doing for the past 5 years.
