We must create a "Window" for the ICL

I think we should create a "Window" for the ICL as well as the IPL, and while we are at it, one for the English county season, and another one for the Australian domestic season.

Hell, I think we should ban all International cricket for the next 20 years just so we can all watch meaningless domestic cricket and a handful of players can get rich.

Nonsense, we wouldn't make one for the ICL, it's not legal. :p

It would be nice if there was a window for the IPL, though. It's not that hard and I think it's more of a global event then any of the other domestic T20 comps. I think T20 should stay in domestic cricket and only have the T20 WC as the international form of the game. That would replace the 'IPL window' or whatever when the time comes. We can get our T20 fill with one big domestic comp in the IPL. Domestic cricket will become popular, new stars will be made and cricket gets better. But don't overdo the t20 stuff.

if there is a window for the IPL than there would have to be one made for other 20/20 leagues. I read somewhere that NZ,SAF and Aus are talking about a 20/20 league. I'm sure if the IPL gets a window than others would want the same from the ICC and it would look bad on them if they only allow the IPL to have a specific window.

If there was a specific IPL window, they would have to introduce at least 2 more new teams other wise half the foreign bench would be sitting in the sideline rotting away.

the IPL shouldnt be the IPL, the ICC should take over. Giving it unlimited overseas players, then create an aggrement that the ICL be the Indian Domestic T20 series

See, this is where the ICL will be rigged. The IPL teams recruit all the big guns of world cricket, yet the teams coming from Australia, South Africa and to a lesser extent England, pretty much all only play domestic cricket for the sole purpose of strengthening their national teams.

How sweet an arrangement.

Load of crap. Players play because they want to earn money. Wake up man.

Abolish the Big Bash and merge it into the IPL. We can do with extra teams.

You obviously don't even know what i'm talking about....

Victoria and New South Wales will ALL be Australians
The South African teams will ALL be South Africans.
Yet the IPL teams are just a mixture of the best of the best,

Sure, harp on about all the money and crap, but how can you even get behind a IPL team when the players don't even have any loyalty for that area/city they represent? I still think Shane Warne playing for Rajisthan or however you spell it is a joke, he is a Victorian through and through.

Maybe you start doing some research before you post, because you yet again embarrass yourself, this time over domestic cricket.

I know my bones.

That's precisely why I said abolish the Big Bash and add the Aussie teams into the IPL and make it a bigger PL. With unlimited transfer across the teams. This would mean Aussie teams will have Indian players or even SA players. And likewise Indian teams also. Matches can be conducted in Australia as well as India.

Further such an endeavour would pressurise the ICC to create a window for the IPL.

And nobody asked CA to restrict their teams to consist of only Aussie players. Why don't they change the laws atleast for the 20-20s and bring them on par with IPL?

Oh come on, its the 21st century! Tell me one player who sticks to his roots for his whole career. I didnt see you complaining when he was playing for Hampshire all that time.

but how can you even get behind a IPL team when the players don't even have any loyalty for that area/city they represent?

Well that's like saying all those millions of fans that arent from Manchester cant support Manchester United. How could they..... tsk tsk
and I'm pretty sure most of the players dont originate from Manchester.
