The Nz team has arrived at Kingston with two news making the headlines

the big one being Lara has sustained a foot injury and whether he will make it to the eleven is a million dollar question.

The weather in Jamaica is bad with rains lashing the ground for past 2 days.

Here is a small interview of Nz captain Fleming:

The News reporter " Well Stephen not a geat start to the weak with rains lashing ur hope of practice"

Stephen: " Well we have been doing well by winning the practice matches however we need to start practicing and being indors for 2 days is ya quite boring. Hopefully weather will clearly with three days remaining"

Reporter " Ur selection policy"

Stephen " Well we havent decided yet depends on the pitch we have been given"

Reporter " Abt Laras injury and all those stuf that been created"

Stephen " Ya the media creating a lot of hype and i think he is a great player and will definitely recover from this. Hope we will play a full side WI team"

Reporter " Thanks stephen for ur comments"

This is the situation in Jamaica before the start of the series.

I support the use to win against the CPU!!!

Go "The_Champ"!@!!

Ya a very good series WI should win mate

It looks like a good series - i think Wi will be able to win it.

The First test starts in Kingston Jamaica, with lot of questions about

laras injury he sustained during practice but looks like lara wil take

the field.

Tony Cozier: Good Morning Everybody A warm welcome to u all to the

lovely caribean islands. As u all know I am tony cozier will be with u

throught the tour. After all speculations and rumors lara will play the

big test starting today here at this historic venue. let us say good

morning to our friend from christchurch Ian smith. Good Morning Ian

Ian Smith: Thanks Tony same to u. looks a cloudy dull morning. The

weather doesnt looks that good. Atleast the Calypso music thats going

at the background brings a good feeling .its overcast and i hope we

will get the full days play.

Tony cozier: ur thoughts all that going in the last week

Ian Smith: i am happy that everything is ready and fine

Tony cozier: lets go and join bishop for the pitch report

Ian Bishop: Well a very good morning mates the pitch looks a fine one

inspite of rain because of the excellent drainage facilities of the

ground for test cricket hard with good bounce for bowlers. This will

take turn later but at the moment a good batting wicket.

West Indies begin their 1st innings poorly with them being beaten poorly outside the off stump by both Bond and Cairns.

Luckily for the Windies the Nz bowling was very inconsistent with lots of wides with went for 4 byes several times.

But everything has to end so did the inconsistency of Nz bowling and cairns Produced the perfect offcutter to dismiss Gayle caught at slips FOW - 19

Lara walked in to rousing ovation and looked out of sorts in his stayat the middle.

Sarwan at the other end played a gorgeous straight drive of bond. But his end came soon, caught at slips playing a poor shot- FOW - 60-3 and Chanderpaul joined lara.

Chanderpaul looked in good composure but lara struggled for timing as shown below beaten by Vettori.

Everyone where shocked when the scored reached 87 just before drinks when lara got a peach of a delivery from bond curved in the air to be bowled,

Everyone were awe struck, but the Kiwis were cock-a-hoop at this stage .

FOW - 87 / 4 WI in trouble at drinks break with Chanderpaul and smith at crease.

Ridley Jacobs absent wil be felt as he suffering a injury and only return for 3rd test.

End of day 1

Tony Cozier: Rain has ruined most of the days plays but seeing the batting display of the WI we can say they themselves were the culprit.

Score : WI 161 all out, NZ 0/1 ur thoughts on this guys.

Ian smith: Well WI have batted poorly and u must give credit to Nz for the way they bowled. But WI fought back with a wkt though.

Ian Bishop: I hope the sun comes out tommorow and so does their own work which is cut out .

So that its for the day guys let hope to see a full days play tommorrow.
