I'm starting a West Indies story now, I will continue my others as well, I just felt like using a team with a lot of left handed batsmen and some left arm seam bowlers.
My story will start with the 2000 tour of England. There will be 5 Tests, a number of 4 day warm up games, a ODI series, and some 50 over warm up games.

The West Indies squad is: D.Ganga, C.Gayle, P.Wallace, W.Hinds, B.Lara (c), S.Chanderpaul, R.Sarwan, F.Reifer, R.Jacobs (vc). C.Browne, O.Gibson, M.Nagamootoo, K.Jeremy, N.McLean, M.Dillon, R.King, C.Collymore. Reserves: L.Roberts, N.McGarrell.

The the first match will see West Indies play Yorkshire in a 4 day warm up match at Leeds.

The Yorkshire lineup for the match is: R.Blakey (wk), M.Wood, M.Vaughan (c), A.McGrath, C.White, M.Lumb, D.Gough, C.Silverwood, J.Middlebrook, M.Hoggard. R.Sidebottom. 12th man I.Fisher

The West Indies team for the 4 day warm up game is: P.Wallace, C.Gayle, D.Ganga, B.Lara (c), S.Chanderpaul, R.Sarwan, C.Browne (wk), M.Nagamootoo, N.McLean, M.Dillon, C.Collymore. 12th man W.Hinds.

The West Indies have won the toss and elected to bat on a Green Pitch, in Overcast, Cool conditions.

I will finish my 3 stories (Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies (C2005 Medium Level PS2) slowly because I have plenty of time on my hands. I have been updating them every day or two.

Yorkshire v West Indies - 4 day match at Leeds - Drinks, Session 1, Day 1

The West Indies have got off to a flying start, scoring at over 9 runs per over during the first hour. The only wicket to fall was that of Gayle, edging an attempted cover drive at Hoggard to keeper Blakey. Wallace and Ganga both belted 3 sixes in the vacant mid on region as the pace bowlers, Gough in particular, pitched too straight. Blakey conceded 16 byes as he failed to adjust to the ball moving sharply off the seam.

West Indies 129-1 (14 overs) Extras 18

P.Wallace 45* (40 balls) 3 fours 3 sixes
D.Ganga 34* (23 balls) 3 sixes

D.Gough 7-0-66-0
M.Hoggard 6-0-45-1

Yorkshire v West Indies - 4 day match at Leeds - Lunch, Day 1

Yorkshire have fought back, claiming 6 wickets in the hour leading up to lunch, as the West Indies failed to rein in their attacking instincts. Gough came back strongly, picking up 4 of the wickets to fall, but remained expensive. Wallace was the only batsman to put his head down and work for runs in challenging conditions and was still unbeaten at lunch. Ganga was out lbw, playing back to a ball from Gough that swung away and then cut back sharply off the pitch. Lara chipped a catch to McGrath at cover off Silverwood, and Chanderpaul soon followed to the same shot, edging to Vaughan at first slip off the bowling of Gough. Sarwan played beautifully, hitting 4 sixes, before being bowled through the gate attempting a cover drive to a ball that cut back sharply from White. Browne pulled a short ball from Gough straight to Hoggard at square leg before Nagamootoo went next ball, edging an attempted slog to White in the gully.

Yorkshire v West Indies - 4 day match at Leeds - Drinks, Session 2, Day 1

The West Indies have built steadily in the hour after lunch, losing only McLean, caught in the slips by Sidebottom off Gough as he attempted to run a ball down to third man off the back foot. Dillon was dropped by keeper Blakey down the leg side as he glanced a Gough delivery off his hip, but has helped Wallace add 64 unbroken runs for the 9th wicket. Wallace is steadily approaching what would be a fine century, and also has a chance of carrying his bat through the innings in a display that will have caught the eye of the test selectors.

P.Wallace 85* (115 balls) 5 fours 3 sixes

Yorkshire v West Indies - 4 day match at Leeds - Stumps, Day 1

The West Indies have been bowled out for 355, with Wallace top scoring with a fine 88 in difficult conditions. Wallace was caught behind by Blakey off White attempting a cover drive, before Collymore perished in White's next over when he got a leading edge and skied the ball to Silverwood at mid off. Rain arrived just as Yorkshire were about to begin their innings, washing out the rest of the days play.

Yorkshire v West Indies - 4 day match at Leeds - Drinks, Session 1, Day 2

Yorkshire have made a quick start to their innings, with Wood and Vaughan looking in good touch after the early loss of Blakey. Blakey flicked a ball from McLean straight to Dillon at square leg after looking all at sea in the unfamiliar opening position. Wood was looking in fine form, striking 3 boundaries and scoring at close to a run a ball before he fell to the same shot, caught by McLean off Collymore. Yorkshire have a long tail for this game and will need Vaughan and their middle order to perform if they are to post a competitive total in difficult batting conditions.

Yorkshire 76-2 (14 overs) Extras 7

M.Vaughan 23* (28 balls)
A.McGrath 1* (4 balls)

R.Blakey c Dillon b McLean 5 (13 balls) 9-1
M.Wood c McLean b Collymore 40 (42 balls) 3 fours 75-2

N.McLean 6-0-35-1

Yorkshire v West Indies - 4 day match at Leeds - Lunch, Day 2

Yorkshire have crumbled against some fine seam bowling from Dillon, who picked up all 5 wickets to fall in a single spell. McGrath popped up a catch to McLean on the legside to fall cheaply. Vaughan got a leading edge and skied the ball to Lara at mid on from an ill advised hook shot. White and Lumb looked comfortable before overconfidence cost White his wicket when he tried to hook a ball for six and picked out Nagamootoo on the fine leg fence. Gough and Silverwood then went cheaply as both flicked leg stump deliveries straight to square leg to leave Yorkshire in all sorts of trouble.

Yorkshire 147-7 (28 overs) Extras 17

M.Lumb 20* (26 balls) 1 four
J.Middlebrook 3* (3 balls)

A.McGrath c McLean b Dillon 2 (5 balls) 82-3
M.Vaughan c Lara b Dillon 34 (40 balls) 1 four 100-4
C.White c Nagamootoo b Dillon 21 (33 balls) 1 four 129-5
D.Gough c Nagamootoo b Dillon 4 (4 balls) 138-6
C.Silverwood c Nagamootoo b Dillon 1 (2 balls) 140-7

N.McLean 8-0-48-1
C.Collymore 7-0-35-1
M.Dillon 8-0-41-5
M.Nagamootoo 5-0-19-0

I'm sorry but I'm quitting this story because I have now discovered I can play well on hard level in all conditions. I will be starting a new hard level story soon.
