Your a fool for even thinking it let alone saying it. Did you forget the part where there is 7 players missing from the starting eleven? A side with Chanderpaul,Bravo,Sarwan and Barath would have done at least a little better and gotten past 200.

I'm not the one saying it, what about the legions of people around here that were saying WI will be a much stiffer opponent than Pak, even taking into account the injured players? What about the fact WI havent won a match vs Aus since 2006? Bloody woeful team even with their injured players available. Truly embarrassing stuff to watch. Stick to 20/20 I think. I dont see Wi ever getting above 8th on the ICC rankings, they would have to actually beat a team other then Bangladesh......

WI missing 7/8 players. look at their middle order. i dont even know these guys!! it will be tough for them to fight against the on song Ozs. And Gayle put even more pressure on them by saying 4-1 and all that! It wont be fair if you compare this XI with Pak's recent out come.

really dissapointed that gayle got out early tonight i think if he got in and made a big one there would be a big chance of a win by WI but he didnt so as usual australia did a pretty easy job of winning. too bad so many players are out for the WI. i really think a full strength side would really challenge the aussies.

The current WI side is worse, yes, but at full strength (Like Pakistan were at pretty much bar Younis in the tests and Aamer in ODIs) West Indies are by far superior.

I hope Gayle gets going in the other games or we're in for one boring as series

Pollard- HUGE FAIL. That was typical of the lower rung test nation's players- no patience and just idiotic brain explosions regularly. That shot was 100% not called for, bunt it around for another 10 overs and then try, but I guess he isnt used to batting in the 25th over in a match, 20/20 mindset.

I don't know what game you were watching but Kieron Pollard was by far the best player on the WI side tonight.

All things considered, Gayle did sell his side out at the toss. They had a chance of defending 250, but chasing was a big ask.

Yeah I guess you missed the Pakistan tour then? :sarcasm When your team is missing seven first choice players your always going to struggle. This effort was no worse then any of the matches Pakistan recently played in, and they had for the most part their full strength team.

Let's hope for a better showing in the coming games, because that was just crap last night. At no stage were WI in the game. Very rarely do Aus not read the pitch well in ODI's, you can be sure most of the time that the total they set will be hard to chase.

What contrast to last summer when SA were handing us our asses and forcing us to rethink our game.
