Zimbabwe Tour of West Indies 2010

I think Zimbabwe would be happy facing the prospect of not much more than 200, even on a slow scoring wicket, it would be something they feel they could do. However, the West Indies, with wickets in hand, have every right to score as much as 240 from here.

Yes, to both, but 240 providing Bravo remains to the end, you can see the change he has already made.

Windies fans on cricinfo are getting carried away lol, its just Zimbabwe guys

Well WI are now back above Zimbabwe. Batting still looks unstable with the starts not being converted.

Well the batting order was all messed up today. There is no way that Ramdin should be coming in at #4, the way that Deonarine is playing spin on these wickets he should have been the one to partner Shiv. Then it should have been Bravo and Pollard coming in, then Sammy and after all that Ramdin.

I can't blame them for trying Ramdin up the order, hes been one of the form batsmen for WI even during this poor period.

So far in 2010 he is averaging 15 in 6 innings, he hasn't been in any sort of form for a while now.

Syl what you consider poor period? In 2009 Ramdin played 8 ODIs and scored 88 runs with a top score of 28*, in 2008 he played 6 ODIs and scored a total of 21, top score of 12*, it is obvious for the last 2 years he has done nothing for himself or West Indies!!!

The commentators sure do talk him up. How does he fare as a Test batsman?

Well after a promising start to the tour, Zimbabwe are slipping back into their old ways. Bit of a thrashing today even though WI didn't convert many of their starts.

:laugh I saw that as well. But considering the torrid time they had in Australia and the loses in the T20 and 1st ODI, a win for the Windies is a pretty big deal for the fans, even if it is against Zimbabwe.

below average. 68 innings, 8 fifties, 1 century and the century came in a match that had 1500+ runs scored and only 17 wickets fell. Not good at all.

Weak, however I still think on paper Windies have a decent Test batting line up. Its just that Sarwan has not been coming good of late.

Gayle, Sarwan, Chanders, Nash - are all good Test batsmen

West Indies have a really good side if they are healthy but the problem is for the last 6-7 months they haven't been able to get the first choice players in the same team.
Add Bravo who had a great test series against the Aussies, Barath who seems to be made for tests more then ODIs and then the fully fit pace trio.

Ramdin with another promotion :facepalm. Just give the #4 spot to Deonarine, wtf is Gibson thinking.

lol Pollard, dude gets some serious brain cramps. With 3 to win he start moving around the crease and chips the ball back to the bowler.
