The Aussies are looking really solid in the batting, I guess the Windies have helped here and there, but it's a bit unfortunate that they take a long break after this tour.

What a hit, what a 6 by D. Hussey, one over to go, lets see how much comes of it.

WestIndian added 3 Minutes and 33 Seconds later...

Can you believe that, 3 overs, 46 runs partnership. And a 19 balls 50 by D. Hussey, ball gone, lost and have to be replaced. They can easily get 350 total.

At least Bomber will go back to the counties and stay warm, but he might not even be in the side when they meet up next, which will probably be to the bemusement of Australia's future opponents.

Well, I need to be going now, but I feel somehow interested in what the Windies score here. They're actually kinda on target for the time being and someone could well make a hundred on a pitch like this. All these 'experimental' players need to be tried out and this is a perfect position to bring out a hero, if not a matchwinner.

Put Ronchi at the top and look at the carnage. Hes finally shown the International world what he can do. Can't believe David actually went faster than that knock. Would be great to keep this lineup with Ponting and Hayden added back in it. But Haddin doesn't deserve to be dropped and Watson/Marsh have been going alright.

Taken Johnson 5 matches but hes finally done something decent.

He still needs to be dropped. He's not Australian quality. Stuart Clark would do a far better job, I feel. I'm not complaining though. I hope he plays all the matches vs India, come October.

Clark just doesn't cut it in ODI hence the selectors didn't even use him. I'd still prefer Tait or Hilfy but Johnson has once against wrapped up his spot with another career saving performance.

Surely he's better than Johnson though. I mean, it's not hard to bowl better than Johnson.

Clark does have a nack for producing wickets but his pace in this form of the game make him easier to hit. Johnson if he swings it is a dangerous bowler but he seems to have lost it. With our current lineup we only really have 3 specialist bowlers and the other 2 filled by all rounders. In those 3 bowlers only Lee is a strike bowler. It certainly doesn't strike fear into lineups and I have a feeling if we went back to some of the smaller stadiums we could see our big totals being chased again.

It's funny seeing Miller with such cheap figures and no one else. Australia seem to have a strange difficulty with left arm spinners in ODIs. That's a real beating that is. Well done Aussies.

That was the biggest win for Australia against the West Indies. Very good allround performance from Australia. Happy for D. Hussey to get another 50 this time around, in quick time too!

Woohoo!!! What a win. Well captained by Clarke I must say, he used his wealth of batsmen to really go for the jugular. I saw Ronchi go in at 3 and thought... Oh dear trouble here for the Windies. Sure enough I flick back over (I was watching F1 as well) and he's already on 50 :D Thought Symonds and Mike did a great job to steady the innings after those few wickets and set up for another onslaught at the end, which David provided. Amazing stuff :D :D

Yay Johnson does well so he won't lose his spot  Surely we will feel the pain soon... Lucky our batting is insane.

Fantastic series for us, 5-0 wooo :happy

Got to see what the new guys had to offer, was great to watch. From this series, who would you guys prefer opening the batting with Haydos - Marsh or Watson? I think it depends on whether we want the bowling of Watson, or possibly Watson will drop back to where Hopes is batting and Hopes will disapear? Hopes hasn't really provided anything this series, not his fault its been due to his batting position and use with ball. He didn't even bowl at all last night. Really, its such a fantastic thing to have these sort of selection headaches :D
