west indies get bored so easily. if they're not taking a wicket every 10 overs then they can't be bothered. even this series if the aussies got through the first 10 overs of a session the windies just ambled along, obviously got a bollocking in the interval and came out bowling much better.

that's all well and good picking it up at the beginning but they do not seem to grasp the concept of applying pressure when bowling.

Tonge was unlucky with that last ball, completely fooled Watson who looked all at sea and could have been bowled. Bravo looking good here, hes bringing it into the pads of Watson and hes not scoring as freely.

It's a shot that Ponting plays as well, tries for a cut shot, then adjusts and guides it above the slips.

These two are really developing a solid partnership with each other. I dont mean just this innings but generally. They compliment each other well and look un-get-out-able at the moment, which is a new word!

Advertising on sight screens:doh:facepalm, dumbest invention ever. Its not like there isn't any other space in the stadium.

Yea but there was talk that this pitch was suppose to be different.
Well, a lot of people may have been talking against better judgment. It is a new, barely used pitch, but that is never a guarantee of pace. In fact, when you need a deep root system to retain water and add elasticity to the clay, relaying the pitch is not intended for immediate gain. That said, it does look a bit different. It should get faster. Hopefully it does crack, to help avert the ugly long final innings tendencies we have seen in recent years.

What would be the most appropriate advertising for a sight-screen? I'll pick something from a chain of opticians! Imagine you could hire some space and put your own message up there!!! "Oi, umpire, get out the way, I can't see!":)

He's a biased brainless pigeon :p

Pitch is a bit of a disappointment. Good session for the Aussies. Windies were lacklustre.

Lackluster is the right word. They just don't have penetration at all. Just imagine Garner, Holding or Marshal thundering in!!!!! I really miss that from the Windies nowadays.
