Haha don't worry when it comes to players about to be dropped, they always seem to do the business in the last Test. Hayden, Hussey in the Ashes and Hussey here :p (Note didn't say anything about a 100 here so your jinx still stands, I think!)

It'd tweaking better or I'm going to murder you haha :p

I suppose "the business" could be a bit dodgy...what else did Hayden and Hussey do in the Ashes besides a century?

@angryangy, I meant if he hadn't had the recon :p

Hussey is definitely going to score a hundred tomorrow. In face, he'll probably make 200. And then more :D

OH WHAT THE fearsome tweak ARE YOU DOING GAZ fearsome tweak

I said to myself "Brad Haddin's gonna make a ton". Nope, stumped by the bowling of Harris. I said to myself "Marcus North's gonna make a ton/double ton". Nope, caught in gully by Anderson/Ponting declared in the practice match on 191*. I said to myself "Ponting/Katich/Watson's gonna make a ton." Nope, caught at cover on 99/caught at square leg on 99/clean bowled/edged behind.

I, Sir ajdude shall hereby proclaim that MICHAEL HUSSEY WILL NOT MAKE A TEST MATCH CENTURY TOMORROW. In saying this, I shall avoid visiting PlanetCricket Forums until tomorrow at approximately 2:30 AEST.

I dont want him to score a fliping 100.

The chances of Michael Hussey making a hundred are higher than the chances of the next pope being catholic.

Of course he won't get out bowled/caught behind/lbw/caught/hit wicket/run out/stumped/handling the ball before making it to triple figures.

Aus in strong position, they would certainly like to get to 500, just 3 down for 339 runs, certainly they can get to 500...

A great first days play. Hoping that Australia can continue that tommorow. Langer said on ABC radio that Ponting retiring hurt in a Test match was a "modern day miracle". Healy gave Katich the commentators curse on 99. I was so dissapointed that he didn't get there, likewise with Watson.

I love watching the Perth Test because of the timing we get here in Sydney. Watching Test cricket after dinner is great. Do any other people like that?

Its always on after dinner for me :p Don't really mind the time just as long as its not finishing at 4am in the morning!

It's tough to know what to barrack for here. Even if Hussey does find his form against the West Indies and continues it against Pakistan, is there any point in keeping him in the side? He still failed against the 3 top teams in the world, and the chances of him managing to improve the next time we face them, when he will be even older, are slim.

But our selectors have slower reflexes than a tortoise, so I expect they'll see this hundred as the turning of a corner and keep him in the side until he's 43.

This match starts after 8 pm here and the ones in NZ at 4pm. Thats the perfect time, since im done with the day, and can actually watch live action and not just follow ball by ball

Channel Nine's coverage has turned into a joke.

Ian Healy just dropped to the ground. How desperate.... :doh

Tony Creig: "That box isn't big enough for you Heals"
Ian Healy: "Thanks Tony"

:rtfl

Ok it's enough Ponting ass kissing from the guyz...

I might sound dumb for asking this, but can Ponting resume his current innings of 23?
