I don't know if the batsmen have played as well as the score says. There have been a lot of nearly chances, especially on the pads, just nothing quite convincing enough. Good, fair surface, I guess.

Good stuff Katich, well played. Been a few streaky shots going through slip including that one from Ponting.

Ponting brings up his half century, quality stuff :clap The Windies in big trouble here.

You should watch the match then.

Good technique by Ponting :p

Get right forward, keep the back leg low and if you inside edge, the ball gets stuck under the back leg.

From what I've seen of this match the Windies have been rather unlucky at times, could of easily picked up another wicket.

Aside from the LBW decision that was referred and turned down the West Indies weren't close to taking another wicket.

Are you including the one Ponting smashed into his foot as an incident they were unlucky in? Were they also unlucky that Ponting sent Ravi Rampaul through the vacant third slip?

Simon Katich is batting better than I ever seen him before, he is also making tons of runs in domestic cricket, wouldn't be surprised if he takes his Test average above 50.

Taylor and Roach are going to need to be able to bowl longer spells than 4 overs. Just look at what Bond is doing to the Pakistanis right now.
