Travis Dowlin does indeed look like a good find, I didn't see much of him against Bangladesh but he apparently played their spinners very well and so far against Hauritz he has looked solid. Denesh Ramdin looks to have improved as a batsmen also, last time I saw him he looked incredibly average with the bat.

I wonder what the Windies team will look like if Sarwan plays in the next game, he'll move back to three so I wonder where Dowlin would shift to (There's no way they can drop him).

Nash would be the one to drop but hes gone so well in the past. Barath would be the other but they would need to manufacture a opener.

Ramdins the gritty type. The Aussies would be a lot better off knocking of these two very quickly. Without Taylor their tail looks weak.....

Their 'Tayl' :p

Ok, that's shocking....

If Jerome Taylor get's fit in time you good drop Rampaul and play:

1.Gayle
2.Barath
3.Sarwan
4.Dowlin
5.Chanderpaul
6.Nash
7.Bravo
8.Ramdin
9.Taylor
10.Benn
11.Roach

The extra batting is probably the most important thing.

At times the extra batting doesn't actually do too much, we used it a few times and I believe the last match White played was the last time our batter at 8 did something. Rampaul was good in patches, hes a bit like our bowlers where he needs to get rid of his four balls which occur a bit too often.

Loved the way Hauritz batted today :D North was too close getting his another test ton but .... :(

Fickle batting, as expected. If we rattle them early tomorrow then Ponting should bat the day out until the last 10 or so overs and put it beyond doubt.

Australia should have this in the bag, as long as it doesn't rain. We are all over them, after forcing them around in the field for a long time, then getting 5 wickets before the close of play, we should knock them over quickly tomorrow then bat to a safe lead, then bowl them out before time to give our boys some rest before the next game.

Also, why did Gayle and Chanderpaul, their captain and best batsmen, both challenge obvious outs? I think it was pre-determined, that if they get out, to challenge, as they are the most likely to score runs, and best batsmen for the West Indies.

Pretty pathetic batting by West Indies IMO, and WTF were they thinking wasting their reviews, like that.:laugh

I don't think I get this D:

Johnsons been scoring pretty well of late?

What's not to get? White was the last time we had a batsmen at number 8. Johnson is a fine number 8, Hauritz proved his worth again today, and Siddle is very underrated with the bat.

I'm worried about chanderpaul.

I think Lara had just retired, he hit form, everyone was like "oh, ok chanderpaul will carry the batting now."

but it was probably just an indian summer, I can't see him playing that well again.

Tbf it can't be easy to keep averaging over 100 each year

Johnson is a bowler first, so wickets are what we expect from him. White was a batter so we expected runs as he sure as hell wasn't getting many wickets from his bowling.
