The moment Australia's top 3 looks worse than a top 3 with Crawley and Pope in it, is the moment I really do worry about the upcoming ashes.

Such a shame there is no Sangha, Bancroft or Patterson on this tour who are well overdue a call up, but still can't make the squad. Let's just stick a guy who's never batted at 3 and the biggest age gap in test history of an opening partnership (no idea if thats even true lol) together and all will be well. That Sri Lankan tour letting Uzzie stat pad in conditions that massively favour him, against a subpar attack is going to backfire against us. Thought it at the time and now after these last 2 tests I feel like my worries were justified.
