West Indies v Australia- 2025: 3 Tests, 5 T20Is

I actually wouldn't mind a disaster of a series for Australia here with a lead into the ashes so George can stop d*ckriding his mates and make some tough selection calls. Will give him credit for finally dropping Marnus though.

The moment Australia's top 3 looks worse than a top 3 with Crawley and Pope in it, is the moment I really do worry about the upcoming ashes.

Such a shame there is no Sangha, Bancroft or Patterson on this tour who are well overdue a call up, but still can't make the squad. Let's just stick a guy who's never batted at 3 and the biggest age gap in test history of an opening partnership (no idea if thats even true lol) together and all will be well. That Sri Lankan tour letting Uzzie stat pad in conditions that massively favour him, against a subpar attack is going to backfire against us. Thought it at the time and now after these last 2 tests I feel like my worries were justified. :facepalm

I did some digging and found there was an age gap of almost 24 years when 50 year old WG Grace opened in his final Test with 27 year old CB Fry
Thats pretty crazy thats the largest gap and younger player is 27 lol

Also has anyone seen the news around the sexual assault from the WI player? Seems likely it is Shamar Joseph but hasn't been confirmed yet. Could be a massive shame for world cricket if this is true.

Shocking, that. Definitely Shamar Joseph, who else has received a "hero's welcome" in Guyana?

Man, Shamar was such a good bowler. He has ruined his rep with such actions.

Will he get call ups after this or no ?

I don't know about cricket but in football, the players usually pay money to the victims to resolve the case outside the court and then the player's career goes on as if nothing had happened.

The woman isn't interested in money apparently. And I'm not sure Shamar would have the money to just pay someone off like footballers can

good batting by Travis Head, Beau Webster, Alex Carey as Aussies got massive lead of 300 and from West Indies Shamar Joseph bowl very well
but what Starc Cummins and Hazlewood can do is big to watch

I believe the only two who fit all the (objective) leaked info are Joseph and Kevin Sinclair but yeah that's most likely.

a lot
