What makes English Test Matches more enjoyable than other tests?

I just love Sky Sports coverage, I just love it.

Sky Sports rule, and yes I love to watch English Domestic cricket so much, too bad I don't have sky here, I miss it reall bad.

can't wait for Pakistan's next English tour, I hope hair comes too ;D.

It's almost impossible to explain, a certain Je ne sais quoi (Translates to "I don't know what")

I love test matches, English test matches are the pinnacle of those. I am so excited about Thursday.:happy

Along with all that's been already said, a major factor are the commentators, they are just unmatchable. Sir Ian, Nasser, Bumble, Atherton, everyone, just make things oh so much better!

I thought Tests in Australia would be considered more enjoyable.

Bigger stadiums, bigger attendance, playing against better competition.

Plus it isn't always overcast either. :D

Thats because a greater number of the test matches in England are an exciting contest between bat and ball. England have a good record at home, but they have still had to work hard to win every test match.

In the subcontinent, test matches are extremely boring because of the flat wickets with huge totals being posted. Basically its not really a battle between bat and ball.

In Australia, the Aussies are so dominant, that the series is usually over and decided well before the last test match. Only the Australia-India series in recent times have been competitive.

But I also like the matches played in the West Indies. I know the Windies are no longer the force they were but the carnival atmosphere even at a 5 day game is pretty amazing. I think everyone enjoys playing cricket in the Caribbean.

Yeah but it's boring because let be honest, Australia always dominate so there isn't much point in watching, Where in England we could lose to an easy team or defeat a hard team, It's the english performances that keeps everybody on the edge of their seats. And can we please leave your aarogance out of this, If you want to be arrogant make a thread on how australia are the best

I agree, English test matches are the only ones worth watching, any games involving England are generally great viewing for someone. Either England play so badly or wonderfully. And as always, with England, one of those famous batting collapses/great bowling performances is just around the corner. ;)

Commentators, crowds.

I also prefer matches on English pitches to Asian pitches (flat or turners, nothing for the quicks), and over the sluggish NZ pitches. I don't like the Aussie commentators, and the WI pitches are flat and hopeless too, so the best Test matches are in South Africa or England. Something for everyone.

Yeah I think English tests ar the most enjoyable to watch simply because theres a mix of everything, With the Sub-Continent its just Bat and Spin game, Which is quite enjoyable but can get boring...

It helps when you have a budget several times larger than Channel 4 could ever amass.

Pah, give me the TMS gang any day of the week.
