Logitech G510 gaming keyboard for Rs. 5500 ($110) and G300 gaming mouse fore Rs. 1500 ($30).

They both have macro capability and are highly programmable. I've the set the illumination lights of both to blue (can bMye programmed to any colour).

My keyboard is of 17$ but can still type.

No, in gaming terms you'd be taken as a noob for saying that. There's a lot of difference.

I like the logitech g518 and had a first hand chance to take it for half price but I held up for Roccat Kone+. Controversial, but successful largely on part of in game marco pawning in LANs. Fits my really big hands but i'll buy an SS Kinzo sometime after my birthday. :p

@Pranav: You bought the set or by piece? g300 is a let down, for 10 bucks more you'd get the duffer man's powerful g400.

well if you play with those gaming mice you'll know what the real deal is man. I played 2 years straight on with a microsoft 1000, but when you get the hands on any of those you'll see for yourself. My first gameplay with g9x at a pal's house and it changed my mind about gaming kits.

Talking about Keyboards i'm not typecasting them as FPS tools. Those 12 buttons on the far left of g510 are handy in sports/mmorpg. You're not asian so.... :p

P.S. CS is for pussies. :p

Meh, I'm not sure as to what's the fuss in buying a $100 gaming keyboard, especially when you spend nearly thrice as much amount on buying games in an year.

This is something that increases my gaming experience by a great margin and will last for at least 2-3 years (if not more). Plus, it looks pretty cool on my table compared the wireless i-ball set I had before.

@KBC: I bought them individually, not as a set. I went for the G300 only because it had adjustable lighting.

Is lighting really important?

Over a better model?

Not really, but given it only costs a mere $5 over a non-lit gaming mouse of the same category, I'll any day pay the extra cash.

Depends on how much better the better model is. I'd buy a G9x over a G300, but won't go for the G400. Reason being that the G400 has less number of keys, doesn't allow manual DPI settings and only offers one major positive that is the 'Logitech Advanced Optical Tracking' (apart from the maximum DPI value, of course) over the G300.

Only 1 joystick, the 2nd one.

Good for you if you love the lighting, I admit to have liking for eye candy too. Try the g400 or mx518 if you get a chance, the sensors are worth a shot.

What games do you play most?

Don't have a favourite genre, but I tend to like third person games better than the first person ones.

Currently playing Max Payne 3.

20 dollar microsofty does the trick for me. What's your BF3 ID bossman?

I have a G9x and a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate :D Rather expensive though

So what special buttons does the keyboard or mouse have that it will improve the gaming experiences? Except for lighting of course because I doubt it will improve your skills to play games.
