What Was The Last Thing/s You Bought? Thread

760 turkish lira.

also clothes and petrol today. wouldn't have need to buy the last two if I didn't interrupt the shopping trip to watch the togger with a few pints in the afternoon.

How much is 760 turksih lira...surely its not called lira.....blimey it is! I seriously never knew that. Well I'll be dipped in dog-do....

the exchange rate is about 2.23, but the post office sold them to me at 2.18.

so about 350 quid.

I'm all inclusive so I won't be spending spend loads on drink anyway. my biggest outlay will probably be kebabs on the way home from the bars.

And lets face it if you dont get a decent kebab in Turkey you are not going to get one anywhere! Have a great time!

:D

Got it on the cheap. $700, refurbished, last years model but nothing much different except a smaller battery (7hour capacity). With 3 year warranty. We needed a laptop for travel and I have TONS of summer work plus college apps to do and our Vaio just fizzled. Their customer support sucked and they wanted $529 to fix our laptop. We decided just to get a new one.

We were looking at a few HPs (dv4t), Lenovos (Ideapads), but they were all the same price as a Mac. After terrible customer support with HP and absolutely dreadful reviews from Lenovo, we decided to just stick with the tried and tested awesomeness that is apple.

This is 'technically' my mom's laptop, but it will be getting a lot of use from me! :D

Macbooks are cool. I think my next computer will probably be a macbook pro. But they're soooo expensive...

Eh, as he said.

Its an Apple product, so unless you are a hipster or a homosexual it will be unappealing ;)

Well I have heard certain complains about the ipad. Especially the fact that you cannot multitask and if we want to plug anything into the iPad we need a lot of fugly adapters. :p

I was just joking and in truth I have messed around on one. My brothers gf has one and she brought it over the other night.

It seems fun but tbh it just seemed like one giant gimmick. All these retarded little apps that have no practical use really. It does nothing a laptop cannot do, infact it does less.

You call $700 USD cheap? :facepalm

I never really liked the MacBooks although I like the iPhones and use it just about every 20-30 mins of my life.

I bought an otterbox for my iPhone, seeing as I dropped it on cement the other day, and it didn't break (God knows how), so I decided to buy one - it cost Rs. 4,000 though, but I think its a good investment.
