Which Graphics Settings Should I Be Reducing?

I thought my pc would have been able to handle DBC17 at a decent level given it runs FIFA 17 pretty well but I'm getting some pretty bad stuttering during gameplay. What are the best graphical settings to reduce to still give me the best experience but reduce the stuttering? Are some more effective than others? At the moment I've got everything turned down and it's working fine

My system is
CPU - AMC A8 6600K
Graphics - AMD Radeon R7 200 Series
RAM 6144MB

My advice would be 1st to check shadows to low quality and all other settings at high to see how much fps are you getting.Lowering the shadow does help.

Ambient Occlusion would be the biggest drain if that's enabled, and the 'Highest' character detail setting is quite a step above High, so that'd be the next thing I'd lower.

Matt, can you provide us with settings to use? I have a pretty decent graphic card and I still don't know why my replays are lagging (only the ball) but rest of the game works awesome.

GTA960M 4 GB with i7 6700

I think that's a bug if you mean the stuttering

It's happening on mine too and I have a desktop setup

Looks like it cuz no matter what setting I use, it's stuttering (the ball). Everything else is smooth. If it was graphics, everything should be like that.

I didn't wantto start a seperate thread as it's a similar issue, so I'll write here. Is anyone else experiencing the PC overclocking once a while when DBC 17 as loading screens! It doesn't do that with GTA V! But once it is loaded everything runs fine.

Thought I'd just bring this in here after posting in the GD thread. I've been trying for days to get the game running as smoothly in a match as it does in the ground practice mode to no avail. It finally occurred to me to try disabling the crowd and it has made a massive difference - the game finally plays as smoothly as its predecessor, and as well as it did for me on the demo or in the practice mode. I've actually now been able to go back and start trying to reactivate some of the other settings I'd turned off (even things like anti-aliasing) in an attempt to get the game running smoothly and they're now fine just thanks to getting rid of the crowd - I know the crowd looks good, but I'll happily lose it to get a smooth running game where there's no lag on controller input and frame rate. I finally have the game I paid for now, and just thanks to disabling that one thing, it feels perfect. I wanted to share in case it helps others! :)

I would recommend resolution, grass detail, blares, etc.I have done this as my game was running at low FPS now it is running to some extent ok.

But of an update for you @karolkarol - since disabling the crowd, I've now been able to restore anti-aliasing, depth of field, and high-quality bloom to go with the high-quality light glares and high detail characters/logos I already had. So I've gone from having the crowd on but everything else off making the game look like something on an old console and still not running properly - to now having everything on except the crowd and ambient occlusion, the game looking stunning, and it running absolutely perfectly. If you don't mind playing without a crowd, I'd definitely recommend turning it off and then testing how much of everything else you can turn back on. It's worked a treat for me. :)

Same for me ,works quite well with an average of 45 fps without gpu (Intel hd ) @720p resolution.I use following settings and by disable shadows ,crowd and ambient occulsion gives best result.

Crowds - off (with on 30 fps slight stuttering while playing ground shots).
Character details - high(highest works well too).
Depth of field - enable
Light flares and bloom - low quality
Rest all settings off/low.

Yeah, I haven't actually tried any frame rate analysis or anything but it was pretty obvious that there was a big problem until I disabled the crowd.

It's been perfect since then. Here's what I'm now able to run with. I'd tried lowering everything before, but now it looks gorgeous and plays perfectly.

Noooo how could u put grass on low level...the grass detail.makes the whole game

Is this game just badly optimized, i can run DBC 14 maxed out with no problems.
But this game runs like crap it stutters it glitches thats at maxed out and then i tried with everything lowered and it still runs like crap WTF is this about?
Im seriousley dissapointed with this game and the gfx are pretty bad also such a shame.
DBC 14 was best ever cricket game and i didnt expect this 1 to be so much worse. :(
