I haven't read about any Media center edition for vista.

although one thing to note that is that all the 6 versions of vista would be on same DVD.the version u would install would be based on the CD-Key u have.

So, In case u want to upgrade to a higher version, u can simply pay to MS and get a new Cd-Key.!

I haven't read about any Media center edition for vista.

There is no Media Center Edition as such for Vista but Media Center will be included in the higher end editions of Vista (Home Premium and Ultimate IIRC) as a regular application.

Go for it you got nothing to lose really. Make a new Partion anything goes wrong you format it.

RC1 is preety good.
quite a lot of directx based games show 10 -15 Fps increase in performace!
