A bowlers day on day saw 15 wickets fall. New South Wales were bowled out for just 178 with only M.Clarke (33),Kevin Pietersen (32) and Brad Haddin 62. It was a shoddy performance with the bat, especially from such a strong line up. They tried o take the attack to the bowlers but this just isn't the pitch to do it on and Somerset took advantage. 4 duks including 1 from powerhouse Andrew Symonds summed up their innings. It would have to be a strong bowling performance to get them back into the game but with an attack of McGrath,Lee,Bracken,Clark,Macgill and Symonds its hardly out of the question is it?
The Cards
Somerset did not reply well. They started horribly with both openers making 20 runs between them. Cameron White and James Francis rebuilt with White going haywire and taking the attack to the bowlers. White got out as was expected with his tactics but Francis lasted well until the close where he gave away his wicket sloppily. Durston was another man who failed with the bat as the NSW attack showed its worth.Gilchrist however still managed to play some flshy shots and spank the attack all over the place before the close.

The highlights of day 1(accompanied by the random song i was listening to at the time.)
wow great work joe, great video and a random song
i'm quite surprised how this game is going, i would have thought that New South Wales and KP would have destroyed somerset but they are playing quite well.
What a game this was.. Low scoring game thrillers are always fantastic to watch With Gilli down the order, its always unsafe for the opponent. Nice work Joe

oh no lol. Its not a 1 day match despite how it looks. Its just a coincidence that NSW were bowled out in 3 days and Somerset got past it in 50 overs lol. Still 3 days to go yet. What a weird coincidence though!
how could my strong nsw team collapse like that batting lol ! oh well one more wicket then the tail has got to bat against my world class bowlers im still in with a chance IF i get a good 2nd innings batting score imo
A batsmans Day, Day 2 of NSW V Somerset Somersets Innings
Somersets positive start, overtaking NSW's score was boosted massively by a fantastic knock by overseas player Adam Gilchirst, Gilly destroyed the fearsome NSw attack scoring 113 at a strike rate of over 100. Boosted by considerable contributions from the lower order Gilly took the Sabres past 350 and gave them complete control of the game with a massive lead. It was only thanks to the quick cleaning up of the tail, a bit of luck on Gilchirsts dismissal and some good bowling from Bracken that NSW were still in the game. With a massive deposit it would be a tough ask to get back in the game but in their 2nd innings they had 1 advantage, time was on their side. New South Wales Innings
New South Wales played out the day in terrific fashion with a fantastic 100 from Simon Katich equalling Gillys score still not out at the end of the day. Katich played a fantastic innings battling through a tough spell of bowling from Monty Panesar early on and despite Jaques getting out having made 30 cutting it straight to point in a loose shot and Clarke following soon after trapped LBW by Caddick due to some uneven bounce, one of the first signs of the pitch wearing, Katich battled on and with Kps arrival they took the attack to the bowlers and KP ended the day on 45*. Both btsmen look in good touch and with 2 days left in the game, 8 wickets left for NSw and an innings for Somerset all 3 results are possible. This is turning out to be a cracker of a game and with the way these 2 batsmen are playing and NSW's attack it would be hard to bet against the Aussie side but when you've got a batting line up containing names like Gilly, Trescothick and Langer you know you can chase anything. Day 3 looks very pormising, make sure you check it out!
