The numbers given in the brackets are the seedings for the tournament.

The following point system will apply:

Win 2
Tie or no result 1
Loss 0

In the event of teams finishing on equal points in its Group, the right to play in the quarter-finals will be decided in the following order of priority:

The team with the most wins in the Group matches will be placed in the higher position.
If there are teams with equal points and equal wins in the Group matches then in such case the team with the higher net run rate in the Group matches will be placed in the higher position (refer below for the calculation of net run rate).
If following the net run rate calculation above there are teams which are still equal, then the team with the higher number of wickets taken per balls bowled in the Group matches in which results were achieved will be placed in the higher position.
If still equal, the team which was the winner of the head to head match played between them will be placed in the higher position.
In the highly unlikely event that teams cannot be separated by the above this will be done by drawing lots.

India, South Africa, England and Bangladesh perhaps? Can't trust WI, although they are putting up a good match against SL at the moment.

You know Zorax, this group is quite unpredictable. You have the biggest chokers of the game in this group. India, SAF and England. Top it all ,you do have West Indies and Bangladesh in it as well. Gonna be interesting to see which 4 make it to the QFs and in which order.

Yeah, I agree - definitley the tougher group. I predict that SA, Ind, Bang, WI will qualify, in that order. Judging by England's latest ODI form, they might struggle.

On the contrary I think this is fairly easy group because the 4th major team is West Indies which is pretty much weak side than most other major teams. So teams like Ind,SA,Eng will have opportunity against 4 fairly easy teams to beat.

3 teams are pretty much sure to go through, WI and BD might have to fight out for 4th spot, but i think WI will go through.

SA and India would be the locks unless they choke. I could see Bangladesh, England and WI beating each other on any given day so can't really split which one of them will miss out.

My prediction for the four teams to qualify for the QFs would be India, South Africa, England and Bangladesh.

Id say - India, SA, England will qualify for sure. On paper WI is better and BD...but last time THOUGH PLAYING A DEPLETED SIDE WI lost to BD.

All in all the final will have any 2 out of India, SA and Sri Lanka.
