World Premier League? T30 Championship Season 8

I haven't actually posted anything on my first five round picks, so here they are now:

Andre Fletcher - 20k
Ramnaresh Sarwan - 250k
Shahid Afridi - 650k
Jerome Taylor - 250k
Thilan Thushara - 50k

Money Left: Quite a lot

It didn't go fully according to plan, but I got three quality players in Sarwan, Afridi and Jerome Taylor, without going massive on either of them. Afridi was my captain last season, so I'm happy to get him back, considering he's one of the best limited overs spinners in the world, plus he can bat anywhere in the top seven.

Thushara has a pretty solid record, so I think he could be a decent signing for base price, but I flinged up the first round, as Andre Fletcher was the only keeper left. There are a handful of keepers not in the auction that I'd rate ahead of him batting wise, so I'll probably look to pick one of them up in the draft.

That's about 12% of your budget.
You can probably get any player you want now.

Those interested in the likes of Pollard and Pathan, better save a few millions for the last 2 rounds. :p

first picks at round 7 and 10.
Charl Langeveldt and Virat Kohli join the Diamonds
bought 6 at base! still 7910k remains with me!

Blazing Virat and Charging Charl fly to the Diamonds' Guild

Two more Base Price deals! Two more RCB Giants! Virat Kohli (IND) and Charl Langeveldt (SA) make way to the Diamonds' Guild at the WPL Auction Rounds 7 and 10 respectively, adding up to the Swarm of RCBians in the Team. They were quick and Easy picks for the Diamonds, both being sold at the base price and making Diamonds buy 6 players at Base Price in total. The attacking bowling style of Charl and Virat's aggressive batting add up to the Diamonds' Power Factor.

Taylor and Sarwan for 250k each were absolute steals, I still can't believe how cheap you got them, especially Taylor. If you manage to pick up the three guys your bidding on now, KP, Smith and Raina you'll have a pretty solid batting line-up, not to mention a few million still sitting there that could used on really any spinner you want or anyone you want in the next round or even both. So yeah your team is going to be solid all-round, maybe slightly stronger batting wise.

There's not much I can say about my team so far apart from things are going not bad but not great either, considering only two of the five I've picked up (If I get Gul) I actually planned on getting. I feel Haddin is my best buy so far with Bollinger not far behind.

Ryder and Iqbal have gone for bargains, expected them both to fetch a few 100k more than that.

Not to mention bcvs is a big Ryder fan.
He was my second player in that round (behind Smith), so it sucks that he's gone so early.
That's why I'm annoyed that I couldn't get on last night, as now players are getting sold already, while I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Zaxotes has begun his WPL journey the way I did in season 2 by selecting most of the players from my favorite IPL squad.

^ :D seems to be right!

Umar Gul's finally mine, thank god for that! A late bid on him would've pissed me right off!

Hilfenhaus at base price. Awesome.

Lol, for no reason at all I just hate him... :D

I couldn't stand watching him during the Ashes, he just looked liked such a tosser with his collar up.

As I said there's not really any reason, so don't get offended if he's one of your favourites. :p

lol at good, he spent 3,350,000 on watson and now he's spending 3,100,000 on swann, thats almost as stupid as tendulkar getting bought for 5,110,000 :lol

my openers are sorted out now, i've retained iqbal who didn't get enough chances last year but this time he's set to be the main opener alongside dilshan. and hodge adds experience to my middle order... not that it needed that but anyways he should perform alright.

Nah he's not a favourite but he's a decent enough bowler for cheap so why not.

lol at good, he spent 3,350,000 on watson and now he's spending 3,100,000 on swann, thats almost as stupid as tendulkar getting bought for 5,110,000 :lol

I hope Tendulkar fails so that I can laugh at whoever bought him (Who bought him? I wasn't paying attention.)
